My 15 year old DDs hair is so thick that no hair band can contain it. I would love to buy her any accessories or tools specifically for super thick long hair….

Left · 08/10/2024 20:21

Has anyone spotted any good deals on SPF products for face and body?

BeccyMumsnet · 08/10/2024 20:32

Good evening @ToweringDiscoInferno - I personally have very thick hair, which can get quite frizzy. So, I actually have a satin pillowcase and the one I have appears to be discounted - it's this one by kitsch - and I find it helps reduce frizz and makes my hair just a bit more tameable, to be honest!

Otherwise, some great hair tools for thick hair that are currently on offer include:

ghd Max Professional wide plate hair straighteners, was £209, now £150

Tangle Teezer | The Large The Ultimate Detangler Hairbrush, was £15, now £12.75 (admittedly not a huge saving)

Also, I find large claw clips helpful when a bobble won't do - these ones are reduced from £9 to £6 or there's these kitsch ones (again, not a huge saving but definitely recommend).

Hope this helps! 🌸

Hi @Left - there's a handful of discounts available that I've found on SPF products... Hopefully one of these will suit your budget?

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturising Lotion, was £17, now £10 (facial only)

Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Brightening Fluid Sheer Glow, SPF50+, was £13, now £9 - good for face and décolleté

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Clinical SPF 50+ Invisible UV Fluid, was £20, now just £8.59! Over 57% savings

For something a bit more luxe - there's also Medik8 Advance Day Ultimate Protect - SPF 50+, was £59, now just £45

HTH! 🙂

Peridot1 · 09/10/2024 11:10

@Dky4 - there are some reductions on Viviscal supplements which I found pretty good. I stocked up yesterday.

Hi, any LED facemasks?

GentlePlayer · 09/07/2025 01:16

Hi, any LED facemasks?

Morning @GentlePlayer! You're in luck - I'm the resident LED mask guru here at Mumsnet.

This one isn't exactly a Prime Day deal but you can get 10% off Currentbody's Series 2 at the moment, which still makes the price at £360, but that's still better than £400!

There's also a limited time deal on Shark's CryoGlow - bringing the £300 price tag down to £238 (which is the lowest I've seen it before). I've been testing this one and can confidently say it's worth the money.

Otherwise, there are some deals on other, lesser known brands that have some decent star ratings on Amazon - but I'm not too familiar with them You can find them all here.

HTH 💐
