Tights keep rolling down...

Autumn has arrived and I've dug out my tights again, standard opaque work tights from M&S. Every now and again, they gently and depressingly roll down my tummy as they try to work their way off my legs.

Are more expensive brands less prone to this? I would pay more to stop this, but I don't want to pay loads only for the same thing to keep happening. I also don't want to wear two pairs of knickers and sandwich my tights between them, which was the advice I found when I googled this...

Snag! They're amazing.

I only wear Snag tights these days. They are so comfortable and soft. No rolling as they come up quite high.

Second for Snag. It took me a couple of goes to get the right size but they fit well and never roll down.

M and s but size up.

Can't be doing with the snag advertising and the chub rub shorts were horrible.

If they’re rolling down over your tummy, the next size up should sort that

Heist. Like Snag but without the political slant and quirky colours. Expensive but last well, no holes or bobbles (for the black opaques)

I never have this problem with my cheap Primark tights...I do get a bigger size though so can basically pull them up to under my boobs!

Heist were the worst tights I have ever bought. I bought two pairs and both laddered after the second wear. They were opaque! I’ve never had opaque tights ladder before. Customer service were awful, I wouldn’t waste my money again.

I might try Snag, are they high waisted? I like them to fit around my belly button. Best tights I had were my maternity ones, they were so comfortable!

Snag - ethics aside they really are amazing

M and S autograph velvet touch are also good

The problem with sizing up is they after wrinkle.

I wear snags but sometimes they roll down! I love the look of tights just not finding ones fit

Snag advertising is incredibly annoying but the tights really are much better than any others I’ve tried in terms of fit and not rolling down.

You just have to keep trying OP, and eventually, you will find the right ones. I now only buy Sainsbury's or Calvin Klein. Both fit me perfectly.

I found snag great until a year or so ago, then the quality dropped dramatically.

Unfortunately I haven't found anywhere else, so just wear the few snag pairs I have left! Might try Heist next.

Autograph, the ones with the cotton gusset. You really don’t need knickers with them (that is why the cotton gusset is there) and then they don’t roll down as the top adheres to the body. It’s the double layering that causes the slip sliding away!

If you want opaques, look for the seamless ones, the top is knitted like a tube.

Gosh really! I’ve found the sheer ones ladder easily but not the opaques - however I bought mine a while ago. Hope the quality hasn’t gone down.

Honestly they were so bad! It was on the thigh, my finger went straight through them! This has never happened to me with opaque tights, I’ve had JL and MS ones for years! I thought it was a one off, but then it happened to the other pair!

I have a couple of Wolford pairs and they are ok, but nothing special. I’ve got one pair of amazing tights I bought in the JL sale (can’t remember the brand and the label has faded), which never slip and are a great subtle pattern. I love patterned tights, nowhere seems to do them (or if they do they are too OTT), MS used to be good for them, but haven’t seen any for ages.

I live in tights in the cold months as I never wear trousers, still looking for the elusive pair! I had one pair from Primark I bought as a student, they were amazing, only just thrown them out, but I can’t face going into a store and I’m sure the quality has probably changed now!!

Mine tick under my bra and then shapeware goes onto. They don't budge

I recommend the Big Bloomers Company. They are the only comfortable tights I have ever owned. They have a really wide waistband and never roll down.
