I mean, I like the neckline, and would accept the flimsy cheap fabric (normal for now).
But who on earth looked at it and thought ' I know what that needs ...'

There’s quite a lot of this kind of cottage core around atm it’s hardly outré.

If I were tall, thin, had a bit of a blonde scandi vibe about me and it lost the black thingies, I'd buy it.

But I am a person who once saw bright red suede puss in boots, boots and thought that would be just right to pair with a black pleather skirt and top combo to a very important AGM where I was presenting something or other. Can't even remember what my powerpoint was about because all I could see were the horrified glances of the attendees.

Well, the style of it, I don't like or wear black, but if they had it in pink, aqua/pale green or pale blue I'd definitely buy it.

No it's not the worst by any stretch. I actually quite like it and it's certainly nicer than 90% of the crap UO usually sells.

I would like to be able to answer your question and claim those as from my own wedding, having forced my dsis’s and SIL to wear such atrocities so that I myself looked extra stunning.

But in reality I just googled “worst dresses ever”. (and I’m sure the dresses my bridesmaids wore will look equally tacky in 30 years time)

It's nowhere near "the worst dress ever". There's been utter horrors on here on wedding guest threads- that's not one of them.

I like it, apart from the black (I don't like anything black) If the bows were red it would be nicer.

It could possibly have worked if the bows were the same pinkish-red as is in the check pattern. But in black, just no.

ETA: the red bows from the blue dress would have worked. Mixup at the factory?

The bows look like somewhere in the production line a decimal point in the wrong place happened

I fucking love it and as of three days ago have it. I wore it today with DM Jadons and a white cropped broderie cut out denim jacket. I offset the black laces with punk jewellery. It's amazing.
