Anyone on mumsnet had a boobjob?

I have decided to have a breast enlargement and wondered if anyone here has had one and can offer me any advice? I have seen a really good surgeon who has agreed to do the surgery and I'm not too worried but I wondered if anyone can say how long they were out of action for (picking up dc's and driving etc). Also, how did you approach telling people? I think this is the thing that I worry about most of all as until recently I have always been against this kind of surgery so the whole thing embarrasses me a bit. However, I am really looking forward to it. I am completely flat chested (not even a AA cup) so I can't wait to be able to buy bra's that fit and swimming costumes etc. Thanks anyone for any advice.

I'm not sure yet...I have a 7 month old, and after breastfeeding they have obviously changed shape, so I'lll wait and see what happens after the next one (or two!)

And don't worry too much about the pain, it's fine. If you are naturally very small up top then the strangest feeling is that you've been a bit "stretched", but it settles down very quickly...

I am somewhere twixt an a and a b. 38" back.

I love my B cup boobs, and I would hate to have to carry all the weight of large ones around all day, not to mention the droop factor. No woman has ever made jokes or derogatory comments about my breasts and as for blokes, I guess I get the men who appreciate great legs above big knockers!

I really cannot understand why women aspire to C cup and above!

Two of my friends had boob jobs last year and they LOVE them. they think it was the best thing they ever did. Going out with them is a bit of a mare though as they love showing them off too. They are sensible Catholic school mummies by day but cleavage flashing hot mammas by night. I'm quite envious though, I'd love bigger boobs, I'm a 5'9" size 14 with micro A cup boobs and definitely out of proportion.
