Short length jeans

I used to wear M&S short length jeans for years but now they are much longer, same with Tu and Next. Any recommendations for 27 or 28" length jeans?

I'm glad it's not just me, I'm 5'4 and always been ok with most regular length trousers but the last year or so I've found them all of a sudden really long?! I hemmed a pair of trousers myself recently and had to cut 6 inches off!

My mum is 5'2 and buys a lot of next petite. I also got some asos petite for my DD and she is also about 5'2

I struggle with the crotch length in many short jeans - they have an excess fold / crease of fabric across the top of the legs / bottom of the zip.
