Short length jeans

Idontjetwashthefucker · 28/08/2024 18:52

I used to wear M&S short length jeans for years but now they are much longer, same with Tu and Next. Any recommendations for 27 or 28" length jeans?

I guess they do bunch up at the bottom a bit when I look

I think they look fine on me though so it's ok 😂

That's all that matters Smile

They were quite baggy too despite being straight leg, and I'm not slim of leg either.

Have you looked in Hollister?
According to my DD they're brilliant for lots of different lengths & styles in their jeans. Admittedly not the most obvious store I would think of visiting.

dontcallmelen · 29/08/2024 10:05

Top shop petite were my go to, asos used to sell them it’s been a while since I bought any might be worth a try, also river island do some petite jeans.

Normallynumb · 29/08/2024 16:05

I'm 59 with 27 leg.. and 26 on the other!
Believe it or not, I get mine from Hollister
Available online only though

@soupfiend Sorry Just seen these cotton traders are black, not dark indigo. But 27"

Thank you, Im not keen on the style though I dont like them coming out at the bottom, almost a mini boot leg

DeathStarCanteenGal · 29/08/2024 19:29

Fat face short length jeans work well for me - and I'm 5ft1". Have to buy online though

TheOGCCL · 29/08/2024 19:55

I bought slim relaxed jeans in Next recently and didn't even have to get the petite as they must be meant to be cropped. I've had a lot of luck with jeans described as cropped = full length for me.

Also check out Pixie Girl.

ANiceCuppaTeaandBiscuit · 29/08/2024 20:27

Have you tried crop jeans? I buy from Frame’s le crop range, a bit spenny but they’re lovely jeans and actually the perfect length on me at 5”2.

leapinglizard1234 · 29/08/2024 20:38

River island do short , iim 5 foot and they are ok for me

startingoveragainagain · 29/08/2024 20:53

I'm convinced petite jeans / trousers have got longer. For years I have worn River Island jeans, they are now too long, Reiss too long. I ordered some Abercrombie one and they are 'OK' I mean, i'm going to have to wear a bit of a heel but are wearable.

I'm starting to think i'm going to have to start having them altered like I had to in the 90s.

leapinglizard1234 · 29/08/2024 20:58

I have a local lady who shortens all my trousers because I don't want to be limited by petite clothes which frankly aren't great aren't they !

SSpratt · 29/08/2024 21:13

I wear the m&s sienna jeans in short and they fit well ( I’m 5 ft 1). You tend to find even shorter length in the OAP type shops like Bon Marche, haven’t tried these personally.

Thisoldheartofmine · 29/08/2024 21:41

@soupfiend I hadn't noticed that , but now you mention it ,I see what you mean !

Mint Velvet so short length if your budget will stretch

Depends if you have relatively shorter legs or shorter body. I’m the same height as my friend, but her hips are a good couple of inches higher than mine.

Frosty1000 · 29/08/2024 22:01

I'm 5'2 and wear magic jeans or cropped that end up being the right length. I believe bon marche do 25 and 27 inch leg length although I've never shopped there.

Chewbecca · 29/08/2024 22:08

I struggle with the crotch length in many short jeans - they have an excess fold / crease of fabric across the top of the legs / bottom of the zip. Perhaps I have an XS lower body too.

Chewbecca · 29/08/2024 22:10

(that is extra short, not extra small!)

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 29/08/2024 22:13

If you buy Levi's they will shorten them for you

Oh my god top shop petite jeans were the best. I had a pair in the late 90s that I wore until they basically fell apart.

These days I tend to go for GAP which does a variety of leg lengths (I am 5ft) or buy jeans that are designed to be cropped on normal sized people.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 30/08/2024 07:35

Hopefully the M&S extra short will do the trick, all the others I've tried have either been too long, too baggy and just 'not right'.

The M&S ones look to be nice and straight, almost slim fit but not quite, which is exactly what I want.

I'll post a pic when they arrive!

I feel your pain OP. I'm 4"11 and the struggle is real. Sometimes you just don't want the hassle of altering something. River Island jeans are great but still a bit too long. M&S used to do an amazing 5 pocket jegging /skinny jean and they fitted perfectly. Unfortunately they discontinued them.

Soulstirring · 30/08/2024 08:10

I find river island short for work for me and I’m 5’3 with 28’ inseam
