Tretinoin UK

twiddlingthumbs69 · 09/08/2024 13:35

I know this has probably been done to death but can anyone recommend somewhere in the EU that I can order Tret from to get delivered to UK?

I'm using Dermatica at mo but so expensive considering I could get a whole tube of it.

Any recommendations pls?

I use alldaychemist. It's been fine, the way you do payment seemed odd to me the first time I did it, but it's been fine. I've received my goods, they've been of good standard. I bloody love my skin now.

NutellaEllaElla · 09/08/2024 13:38

Oh, they're not in the EU though. India.

Bignanna · 09/08/2024 13:50

I use Dermatica too. There are various online companies in Europe. I went through the ordering process with one, put in my card details then found they said they couldn’t process it and to make a transfer to their account. I was worried and cancelled the transaction and my card too. They may well be ok, but I’m not risking it! It’s so frustrating you can buy it otc in Spain for about 5 euros! I await the day when tret is available otc in the U.K. I’d imagine the likes of Dermatica and Skin and me would be very worried!

ConstanceMartensCat · 09/08/2024 13:58

I’ve used Tretinoin World and Pharmacy Geoff in the past and both have been fine. However the 0.05% cream I use seems to be out of stock just about everywhere at the moment (on ADC too). Does anyone have any intel on why/ where else to try?

twiddlingthumbs69 · 09/08/2024 14:28

@Bignanna yes that's what's worrying me. I kind of feel you're leaving yourself wide open to fraud etc

I use Farmacia Andorra (also called Farmacia Tristaina). They charge about €20 per 30g tube of Retirides, which lasts me about 3-4 months using it several times a week.

The only thing is the postage is usually about 15 - 20 euros, not sure how much it would be to the UK. I normally buy 3 or 4 tubes at the same time. I'd love to buy more but worried it wouldn't get through customs or something.

Anyway, I've been buying from them for a few years with no problems. The only thing is they now aren't allowed to advertise medicines on their website anymore, so you have to email them your order.

PortiaWithNoBreaks · 09/08/2024 15:13

There’s an aesthetics supplier called www.thefillerwarehouse.co.uk that sells tretinoin. I haven’t ordered from them so can’t vouch.

I’ve used Tretinoin world before and it was fine, but I use Dermatica now and just use it every other day, works out about a tenner a month and you know it will be the real deal and has other stuff in too, my skin looks amazing now

That’s the site I was worried about. £20 - wow it was much less than that when I tried it. Postage is extortionate. Bet they’ve upped their prices due to it being so expensive in the U.K. Despite your experience, I don’t think I’ll risk it!

Only have debit card. Don’t want to have to worry about dodgy sites, and ingredients.

I'm not sure where you got the price of 5 euros from - maybe it was some years ago, but from what I've heard from people who bought OTC in the last few years they gave a price range of 10 - 15 euros a tube generally, sometimes more.

No, but it’s hard to know who to trust! Is alldaychemist in the UK?How much is it?

It's based in India. Nowhere in the UK will sell it to you without a prescription. Look up Google reviews if you like.

I know, but most firms are based in the U.K. and ship it in. Just wanted to get a reliable one. Thanks for the info. What is the payment method? Hope it’s not be transfer.

Bignanna · 09/08/2024 19:06

The sooner Tretinoin is approved for otc, the better! If only I had realised about it when I was staying in Spain !

I used to use adc but the payment process and shipping times are slow and then I shifted. But yes they are based in India and not UK.

Apparently Spain is supposed to be prescription only and they're enforcing this too.

So how can it be ordered from the U.K. without it being illegal?

I can vouch for this. I usually buy it in the same Spanish pharmacy every year but this year they wouldn't sell it to me without prescription.

LesLavandes · 14/08/2024 17:23

Can you buy in pharmacies in India without prescription and what is it called?
