twiddlingthumbs69 · 09/08/2024 13:35

I know this has probably been done to death but can anyone recommend somewhere in the EU that I can order Tret from to get delivered to UK?

I'm using Dermatica at mo but so expensive considering I could get a whole tube of it.

Any recommendations pls?

Can you buy in pharmacies in India without prescription and what is it called?

In india, I think yes

localnotail · 16/08/2024 15:50

Just curious - how do you buy Tret from Dermatica?

raffegiraffe · 16/08/2024 16:27

If you know anyone going to Thailand, it's OTC there. It's about £3 for a small 15g tube.
Brand is retin A which is probably the same as in India.
I also got some from Tenerife but the pharmacy were a bit iffy about selling it.
I'll try Greece this year.

Any ideas if available in Turkey? Without prescription

theemmadilemma · 16/08/2024 16:48

Dermatica have an offer on at the moment for the first month for £2.90.

You can cancel after that.

It’s getting so annoying, it’s harder and harder to get tretinoin these days now Spain is making it harder to buy. The only option seems to be the super expensive uk subscriptions which charge you a very high price for a tiny amount. It’s a rip off.

You can get trifarotene from Boots Online Doctor, about 1/3 the price of Skin and Me or Dermatica (£55 for a massive 75g)

Trifarotene is the newest retinoid. The derm who checks my moles says the research suggests it will have similar antiaging properties to tret, but this hasn’t been established yet

I use tret from various places and routine goes here. Here is my routine that I follow:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
la roche posay spf
Evening:
la roche posay moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

Your routine intrigues me@UmberMoose . I love the Sebamed gel and will use it again in a heartbeat if I develop breakouts (or purge, having just started a retinoid). It’s gentle and moisturising without being greasy. It’s a great adjunct to acne treatment with retinoid or BPO, if your skin doesn’t need anything heavy. And well priced!

I am amazed it isn’t more readily available in the UK (though it is easy to order online).

Yes sebamed is good and yes you may order online when you need.

Are they GPhC regulated? I can't find if they are.

Jillfi · 06/02/2025 21:03

I think online its only Dermatica, Skin+Me and Monderma in the UK

rumkar · 07/02/2025 01:51

There's And Begin and a few other pharmacies too

sauvignonplonk1 · 07/02/2025 02:49

tretinoinworlds.net/

Crushed23 · 07/02/2025 03:01

I've managed to get it on my insurance in the US. Quite surprised by that, although I suppose it could be considered skin medication!

How much are people paying for it in the UK?

LateMumma · 07/02/2025 03:19

I've just ordered from nutriplex.co.uk. It came
within about a week and cost about £25 for the tube. They take PayPal too

UmberMoose · 07/02/2025 14:15

There are many like adc and skinorac which accepts paypal

The sooner Tretinoin is approved for otc, the better! If only I had realised about it when I was staying in Spain !

It's prescription only in Spain now too. In fact, I suspect it has been for a while, but certain chemists were happy to sell it otc anyway.

Gwenhwyfar · 07/02/2025 20:39

GettingStuffed · 11/08/2024 14:32

Apparently Spain is supposed to be prescription only and they're enforcing this too.

Exactly. Cross-posted with you. Got told in no uncertain terms in Madrid last year.
