Created with my eyes shut as I'm impatiently waiting for my box!

Really loving the Sana Jardin scent. Decent size bottle too. I hate the dab on ones, need a good spritz.

Kat Burki vitamin c cream gets my vote too....could be a contender to replace Sunday riley ceo cream

That's interesting. I have quite a bit of my SR one left but I'll try that next.

LightandBreezy · 20/10/2024 11:13

Hmm, I just tried the tiny Neurae balm sample - it claims to be relaxing but it's made my skin prickle and turn red, and the product has pilled which is annoying. Didn't use it with the serum as I didn't read the instructions but this is definitely not for me!

howlsmovingbouncycastle · 20/10/2024 12:26

@LightandBreezy I didn't read the instructions either and tried the Neurae serum on its own this morning (well, with my usual moisturiser!). It was really sticky afterwards so I didn't really like it, although I do look quite glowy now, so it must have done something! Hard to say with such a small sample though.

BeaLola · 20/10/2024 13:23

Re the Active Glow - are you doing 1 or 2 coats ? Thank you

I'm doing one coat as I wanted a natural look.
I did try two coats on my thumb and it gave more depth of pink to it.

Gotta give a shoutout to my boi Philip Kingsley. Used his serum yesterday and my freshly dried fine flyaway hair was instantly smoothed and swishy. Had been using a Loreal Elvive oil to try and achieve this but PK's serum is so much better.

Interesting - I’ll give it a go, mu hair is very frizzy today.

OvaHere · 21/10/2024 10:55

I've been using the Suqqu Aqufons Lotion for a few nights. I really like how it feels and it smells lovely. Not sure I would purchase for £62 (200ml size) but if I saw it on offer/in a beauty edit/an AC/cheap on Vinted I might be tempted.

Not totally sure of the best routine place to use it but I've been layering it before moisturiser which seems to work fine. I have quite sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate in any way.

Agree! I put it on my hair after swimming and it made it lovely and soft. Very impressed

I know this has been asked a thousand times probably, but I'm trying to get my head around the Liberty box scheme. If I subscribe, it looks like you get credit to spend? That makes the boxes virtually free? Am I missing something - it seems too good to be true!?

sunshinechaser · 21/10/2024 20:21

@Scallo the boxes aren't entirely free. You pay £25 per month but only £20 per month gets added to your credit balance. So you'd be paying £5 per month for the box.

When Beauty Drop began the boxes were literally free. Now they cost £15 as Liberty added a £5 a month “admin fee”. I didn’t join for the boxes but as a relatively painless way to pay for my obscenely expensive perfume habit!

Scallo · 21/10/2024 20:29

Thanks both. Do I have to build up a certain amount of credit before I spend it, or can I spend freely as it comes in? I've got a perfume habit to support as well Grin In fact, it was the Sana perfume that finally shifted me into signing up.

It does seem like a fabulous deal!

Yes , you essentially pay £15 per box and the rest of what you pay get back in vouchers

However, subscribing also means you get free postage for other orders from liberty and I find that pretty handy too so its a good scheme still I think

Scallo · 21/10/2024 20:31

Oh really? Free P&P on everything? That could come in really handy.

D20 · 21/10/2024 20:36

Yes, and you can use it to get gift delivered directly if you think that might be handy over Christmas.

If I were you I’d wait until November so the three month minimum payments would also get you the January beauty drop.

TheChosenTwo · 21/10/2024 20:40

Has anyone used the nail thing that came in this months box? I didn’t really investigate what to do with it, I applied 2 coats this morning and then just had a shower and all but 2 of my nails have had the varnish totally peel off, they felt like cling film! Is it maybe more of a treatment for your nails?! It was a weird colour too. I should probably read things before I just charge in 😂

Oh, thanks for all the tips! Is the January box a particularly good one?

Another76543 · 21/10/2024 20:46

@TheChosenTwo
I quickly painted 1 nail with 1 coat when my box arrived. It’s still pristine and unchipped several days later (and I’m really not careful with my nails). I wonder if your nails had some grease on, from hand lotion or something.

TheChosenTwo · 21/10/2024 20:49

Sorry, just back from holiday and tore
into the box and just got cracking, just been up to read and everyone else has enjoyed the nail thing!
@Another76543 it’s possible, I went very heavy on my body moisturising this morning after my first shower (just off the plane and feeling a bit grim!) and my skin was super parched so perhaps my hands were a bit greasy. I don’t like the colour though, I’ll pass on to dd1 who has a very fair complexion and it will suit her better than me anyway.

BakeOffRewatch · 21/10/2024 21:36

Haven’t kept up with this thread sorry - wanted to add a post about the Founder’s Edit kit www.libertylondon.com/uk/founders-edit-precious-potions-by-yasmin-sewell-000823256.html

@Housewife2010 @IDontHateRainbows - I’ve been using the Reome Beoth daily night and day for a while now, it’s great. I don’t know how much to use though, to get it all over my face I need more than a couple of drops as it doesn’t spread - don’t know what the beauty marketing term would be! I started using Witchy Woo this week and I LOVE it. Definitely a winter scent, would be too claustrophobic in heat. Haven’t used anything else yet and certainly not the gua sha! Have you had any particular favourites in the kit or thoughts since getting it? I think it’s great value and can’t believe it took so long to sell out.

I couldn’t understand why everyone loved The Liberty eye cream that came in the July box so much. It felt thick and claggy to me on my eyes, like it was clogging up the skin there. And there didn’t seem to be any special active ingredients, it’s just caffeine I think. I used it on my hands the other day and it is a miracle! I use so much stuff for my dry hands that crack and bleed and it made them “normal” overnight which I can only usually achieve by cutting down hand washing which isn’t really possible with a baby and lots of nappy changes at the moment. What’s in it!? I really struggle with my dry hands so I would buy it over and over for that.

Chocolateteabag · 22/10/2024 08:25

Ooh @BakeOffRewatch I didn't find the eye patch cream all that amazing on my eyes but I struggle with dry hands so will be trying it on them later

@Scallo - each box is a surprise until delivery day. If you like the sound of the one we are all talking about, you will most likely get it delivered if you sign up now (which is what others have found)
As well as free P&P on all orders, you also get 10% off the beauty and perfume kits they release every so often (and should get advance notice but be careful putting in your email preferences as not everyone does)
Essentially - welcome to this thread as we all update each other

ferretface · 22/10/2024 09:03

I absolutely love the nail polish, for me it stayed unchipped for 4 days then began to chip but in a very subtle way. One of the best things I've got in a beauty box other than perfumes!

If you join now you’ll probably get sent the October box. The contents were very good.
