I’m giving this kit a miss.

has anyone had any luck selling the old advent boxes on vinted ??

wheresmyshoe · 14/09/2024 21:04

Thanks @supadupapupascupa I've attached the best screenshot I could manage. There's a gua sha on the right.

The print.on that bag is making my eyes hurt.

Not their usual style that's for sure!

IDontHateRainbows · 16/09/2024 09:14

Looked at these and many seem to be more around the £18 mark, so I'll stick with Accessorize ones I think - the fabric ones look similar but half the price

Hoping for another edit bag/ set thing to spend my credit on.

There are definitely some from £6.95. They don't have many decorations in yet. The squirrel with the Christmas pudding is £11.95. With my birthday £5 voucher and free delivery, I'm happy.

Superworm24 · 17/09/2024 11:32

I'm hoping to find a nice Christmas decoration for my baby's first Christmas. Might make it a tradition and pick one every year.

BIossomtoes · 17/09/2024 12:11

I got the ceramic Liberty building one half price with a voucher and free delivery. I buy a really beautiful Christmas tree decoration every year @Superworm24 and throw a rubbish one out. My absolute favourite is my Fortnum and Mason cake stand.

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 17/09/2024 12:28

We buy a new liberty decoration each year. I do a pilgrimage from deepest darkest Peru (feels like) to the Mecca that is Liberty.

D20 · 17/09/2024 13:01

Could I just check that after rejoining - have there been any Liberty emails since the Sunday one? I haven’t had one regarding this new edit.

I got mine at 9.30 this morning.

Housewife2010 · 17/09/2024 13:21

Mine came at 9.30 too. Do I succumb? It will come tomorrow if I order by 2.

OP posts:
Housewife2010 · 17/09/2024 13:24

It's not next day unless I pay more. It will be within 3 days if I decide by 2.

I think I'll give this kit a swerve. There's nothing in it I actually need and like some PPs I don't like the bag so my bank account can enjoy the relief as well. Anyway, I got the GWP recently so surely don't need another kit on top of that!!

SwordBilledHummingbird · 17/09/2024 17:41

I quite like the look of this kit but I don't think there's enough in it that I'm that interested in that I'll probably give it a miss. I might see if it's still in stock when I get back from holiday then reassess.

Housewife2010 · 17/09/2024 21:15

Still dithering over the kit. I love the bath oil.

OP posts:
DaisyDando · 17/09/2024 22:17

I think it looks like a really lovely kit but I don’t know what the perfume is like and it only seems like 5 minutes since the GWP…

LoveLabradors · 17/09/2024 22:24

Although I had hoped to receive the Zelens d serum in the GWP, I’m using the zelens ultimate face oil I received instead. It’s absolutely lovely. I really like Sunday Riley juno but this could replace that. I really rate the zelens D products I’ve got in kits and GWPs too. They genuinely seem to have a good effect and feel like excellent quality unlike mz skin, 111 and Augustinis Bader etc.
Anyone else enjoying or rating anything from recent kits and the GWP?

IDontHateRainbows · 18/09/2024 09:14

I've ordered the kit - with BD credit and 10% off it was under £100. A little annoyed I haven't received my vouchers as that would have taken another £20 off but I think they send them out in October?

I'm hoping to sell the Vyrao perfume to make some of the money back and I'm not keen on the bag so that can go too.

I will definitely use the vitamin c face cream and probably the super seed serum although the active recovery broth looks interesting so I'll give that a try.

I can't seem to resist ordering these kits every time they come out - they are like a mini version of the advent calendar!

LightandBreezy · 18/09/2024 11:06

I was pretty good all year at resisting kits as I was working on reducing my back log of products, then I went for the perfume edit and also got 2 x directors cut edits ( I bought one mainly for the debaser perfume, and also already use the Dermalogica and elasticiser - then the beauty gift came out, by which point I'd realised I really loved the chantecaille face stuff... 🫣) So despite wanting to try the broth stuff I'm definitely out for this one!

Nanasueathome · 18/09/2024 13:22

That new kit looks so good
with 10% off and my beauty drop credit I’ve had to order it
ive got empty Liberty advent calendar boxes from previous years and am making calendars for my daughter and DIL. The kit will help a lot

BendyBusBuggy · 18/09/2024 21:43

@LoveLabradors , TKMaxx have some zelens stuff at the moment, including the vitamin d

Ooh thank you @BendyBusBuggy !

paristotokyo · 19/09/2024 16:28

Those that got the kit, what did you think of the chantecaille skin tint? I found it literally doesn't do any 'blurring' and 'perfecting' whatsoever like it claims. It just looks like I've put a normal moisturiser on really. It does smell nice but the rrp is £74 Shock

Blisterly · 19/09/2024 16:50

@paristotokyo

i didn’t realise it was suppose to tint and blur! Feels just like a regular moisturiser to me!

LightandBreezy · 19/09/2024 19:59

@paristotokyo I really loved the chantecaille face tint - it gives my face a nice luminous look, adds a slightly pearlised finish.

I got the Founder’s Edit and I love it. Do not love that Amazon left it behind a bin! Lucky it’s a sunny day. I live on a busy London road and it can easily be seen. I used the Standard Delivery option which was free, but I assumed a £100+ product would be sent using a step up from economy service.

I really do think it’s worth the money, the bag is nice and quite large. The serums and bath oil add up to more than the value. I really like the perfume though it is intense and needs only a very light spritz. I don’t understand why they put the Gua Sha in! I’ve noticed on this thread and AC threads that we do tend to let one DOD product cloud the others of value, and the gua sha does that, like a fly in your gourmet soup.

Has anyone figured out favourites from the Scent With Love kit? I use a random one each day. I really like Sana Jardin Tiger By Her Side, but when I use Thameen Bravi I’ve been receiving lots of compliments that it just suits me.

Oh yes, I’ve had compliments on the Thameen Bravi, it’s got great longevity. I like the Tiger by her side too.
I’d really like to try the WitchyWoo scent, but really don’t need anything else from the kit, it would be purely a FOMO purchase…also just ordered the Hourglass dragon 🐉 palette and brush. I need to step away now, such an addict 😁
