I cba with mani/pedi so paint my own toenails for summer/Sandle wearing. What are good colours for this year? I feel like I want a coral type colour but also trying to "update" my aging self 🤣

I’m early 30s and tend to stick to white or red

Allnewtometoo · 03/07/2024 16:38

I've been Google and see red is apparently "on trend" (as is white). I thought red would be dated for sone reason. I do love red toenails, nor so much in summer though.

If you like red, what about an orange toned red so you still have the nod to coral?

KimFan · 03/07/2024 16:39

W7 do an amazing neon coral if you're feeling brave! I love it and that will be my go-to for my trip to Egypt next week! :)

GalileoHumpkins · 03/07/2024 17:25

Rimmel's Spiced Coral is my favourite for toes.

tobee · 03/07/2024 20:06

I'm wearing Opi Blame the Mistletoe on my toes currently (despite the name). It's a metallic scarlet. I'm cool toned

TokyoSushi · 03/07/2024 20:19

Essie Watermelon for me - always!

Staringatthewalljustmeagain · 03/07/2024 20:37

I have such an aversion to red on nails. It gives me the absolute heebie jeebies. It’s so old fashioned.

Joolsin · 03/07/2024 20:40

Black, always. I'm very pale-skinned, so white would make it look as though I don't have any toenails if I was wearing sandals!

It's actually bang on trend at the moment. Mine are pillar box red and I love them.

DianaBarry5 · 03/07/2024 20:48

Revlon Cherries in the Snow is my all time favourite red!

I’m sure, I don’t really care about my toes being ‘bang on trend’ particularly though. There’s something about the angry little colour that I find really unsettling to look at. 🤷🏻‍♀️ especially on ghastly overly long nails.

CollyBobble · 03/07/2024 20:52

Mavala Coral Bay.

postingfortrafficabout · 03/07/2024 20:56

I think white or a pink so pale it almost looks white is most on trend

I think it's the fact that it's pillar box red on short "squircle" shapes nails that makes it look modern. The super long talon and fake nail looks feels very old fashioned now, particularly with traditional colours like red

ArcticBells · 03/07/2024 21:12

I'm a firm believer in sticking with a colour that compliments your skin tone and therefore wardrobe. Fashion only looks good on those it suits

familyissues12345 · 03/07/2024 21:16

I love to mix it around a bit, so buy cheapy Barry M ones Grin

TheHighPriestess1 · 03/07/2024 21:19

Rimmel 60 seconds the turquoise one - can’t remember the name sorry but always get compliments !

Tacomuseday · 03/07/2024 21:40

I fell down a google rabbit hole looking at jelly (not gel) nails. Sort of lip gloss for nails type of look. Apparently it works with the “clean girl” aesthetic which is apparently very in. I use the word apparently because I’m a bit old and don’t really know.
Anyway I really like the low key look.

Allnewtometoo · 03/07/2024 23:04

@TheHighPriestess1 I think I have that, and I love it!

@CollyBobble thank you, I like all of those.

Red looks dated to those of us that lived through the 80’s, if your mum wore it then it looks like a granny colour now. Like frosted blue eye shadow.

Vinylux Tropix or Lobster roll are good corals. Tropix goes with everything.
