piz bun-no
beauty pie- no
Hawaiian tropic facial sunblock- good but can’t find it anymore.

help me, I have tried all of the above and they do not give me great coverage. Still tanning. Can’t wear a hat to menopausal sweaty head. But do sometimes wear a visor.

Fuka eri is a Spanish brand of sunblock, tinted and non tinted.

Ultra sun and altruist here- redhead v pale. Ultra sun lasts really well

3peassuit · 18/06/2024 22:32

Another vote for Ultrasun spf 50 over here.

Ihatepineappleonpizza · 18/06/2024 22:35

Mecca cosmetica. That stuff is sublime!

windyweather66 · 18/06/2024 22:38

Eucerin have a product called Actinic Control that's Factor 100

Blinky21 · 18/06/2024 22:39

Lancaster factor 50

lovemycbf · 18/06/2024 22:40

I have really fair skin and red hair and I use Eucerin face sunblock gel cream and I don't burn at all and I wear makeup over it.
I buy mine online at Boots

lovemycbf · 18/06/2024 22:41

This is the one I use

On some really good recommends here that I had not heard of. I am off to investigate and invest!

Ultrasun face is great. If it says 50+ it probably means over factor 60!

@Peclet Bondi Sands! There’s 2 face versions but the one in the squeezy tube is super hydrating and gives a lovely glow. Doesn’t sting eyes at all.

WibblyCat · 18/06/2024 22:46

CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 50 or Cetaphil Daily Defence Moisturiser SPF 50.
Both take a little rubbing in but leave no white cast and are excellent for sensitive skin.

StormingNorman · 18/06/2024 22:49

Ultra sun SPF50. I wore it skiing and not even a hint of a google line.

Branster · 18/06/2024 23:01

Another Ultrasun long term user here.
SPF 50 , it lasts all day, you need to follow the instructions and apply to clean, dry skin so that it 'grabs'. They do an anti pigmentation version too.
I alternate between this and the tinted version which is a very light pale peach beige colour.
It is the only one I tried that does not sting my eyes.
Are you taking any hormonal medication like contraceptives?
Another thing to consider, the summer heat regardless of sun exposure, can bring out pigmentation (yes, I know, weird, but apparently that is the case).

Touty · 18/06/2024 23:02

Lidle factor 50, cheap but works!

I used that too on a recent holiday and really like it.

GrimDamnFanjo · 18/06/2024 23:07

The Australian brand Ultra-Violette is very good if a bit spendy. There's a range of different spf types, all factor 50.

Livinghappy · 18/06/2024 23:09

Worth trying Boots Soltan range - they have a few facial creams but tend to change packaging every year so not sure which one to recommend. Sadly haven't needed it so far this year! It's not that expensive so not a major investment.

FairIsleCromartyForties · 18/06/2024 23:17

I use Avène factor 50, it's brilliant. We live overseas and I'm a redhead. No tanning at all with it. For the first couple of seconds when you put it on, it looks thick and very creamy, but it disappears the moment you start to rub it in.

Interesting to see so many Ultrasun recommendations, it gives me spots after a single use, and I never get spots.

Heucherarowan · 18/06/2024 23:36

Another vote for heliocare oil free.

Avatartar · 19/06/2024 00:24

Clarins here too F50 but the cream rather than the stick

marmiteloversunite · 19/06/2024 00:27

Piz buin factor 50 for face or Nivea factor 50 anti age q10.

Laurie01 · 19/06/2024 00:31

Ultrasun
Elizabeth Arden

Also invest in an SPF wide brimmed hat/visor, there's a few out there.
