I hired a hat for a recent wedding and it was an amazing experience. The hat hire lady gave me advice. She runs her business inside a posh shoeshop. The shoe ladies chimed in. An actual shop with people who care is a treat.

I hope Kate enjoyed her day out with Pippa and Charlotte and had a cream tea. Being ill is horrible and no matter how excellent the medical care cancer treatment is tough.

I remember whenever a grandchild was born 5 in four years I was off to buy Jasper Conran at Debenhams baby clothes. I also visited all the sales buying for toddlers and young children. I do miss it 😢

I suppose it does make deciding what to wear a bit easier. And it usually goes down well with wherever they are visiting 🤷‍♀️. Not sure it would work for Anne though. Some of her more vintage re wears are just her thing and that is that 😆

It kind of has a charm of it's own, though. I'd be fairly impressed to meet her and be able to identify her outfit from 1979 😉

I went to the kimono exhibition yesterday. They were stunning. Up close there is so much work and detail in the embrodery. There was a kimono which was gifted to 'a member of the British royal family in the eraly 1960s' which presumably Princess Anne? Can't think who else. Though maybe Princess Margaret? She liked kimonos.

I loved Kate's pinky purple dress, thought the colour was really good on her, and it was super to see her with Charlotte and Pippa. Cute little bag too.

Pippa's dress is very pretty, but it does remind me of nighties I had as a little girl in the 70s. Presumably it's not made of brushed nylon like they were.

Ah, those floral flammable night dresses. I also had a floral quilted nylon "house coat" to go on top. I could have contributed to the National Grid.

Pippa's figure is a good hanger for any dress (she has either chosen preserving her figure over preserving her face or perhaps she is just someone who can never put weight on) but that print and style seems more for a pre-teen. Charlotte would have looked great in it.

I like Pippa's pink dress, it's perfect for a summery Wimbledon. I'm fairly sure that Charlotte has worn something similar in the past. There were some lovely pictures of Charlotte and Auntie Pippa together. 🩷

Saw this photo of Anne with William on Instagram this morning and thought how much he looks like George.

Charles and Camilla were in a rain soaked Channel Islands.

Louis is simply too young. Neither George or Charlotte attended Wimbledon until they were eight years old. If they always had to include Louis in everything or not go, George would be 13 and Charlotte 11 before they got to go anywhere. He will have fair share of outings. We don't know he was with the nanny he might have been with Carole and Mike being spoilt rotten! 😂

Or with Zara and the cousins. I read somewhere that Louis likes cricket!
