The Spanish family have a nice villa in Mallorca. Opposite a place where I had a nice good value lunch one day.

In 1990 they also had a gorgeous yacht. It had anchored in a bay in Minorca, we were told that the king was on board. Made my holiday seeing that.

The Delhi Durbar tiara and jewels are magnificent. Camilla wears the tiara so well.

Queen Mary or Victoria Mary Augusta Louise Olga Pauline Claudine Agnes as she was christened 😮🙄 certainly liked her jewels !!!

I think someone who wears a tiara to dinner every evening has the right attitude to jewellery. I'm not sure how many different chips Granny is wearing here, but it's a lot.

The Queen Mother had an enormous bow brooch. I'll see if I can find details of it.

In the meantime, has anyone got anything that belonged to Dinana, as the market seems very hot at the moment:

Mrs Greville was apparently a famous toadie and someone said of her “Maggie Greville! I would sooner have an open sewer in my drawing room!'"

Poor Maggie! I may have forgiven her, had she bequeathed me a diamond necklace 😊

Does anyone know what brooch Camilla wore yesterday, I don't recall seeing it yesterday?

I've got her gorgeous purple velvet gown with the tulip skirt (the one she wore in that last set of photos by Testino).

This informal photograph of Queen Elizabeth II was captured while the photographer was being dunked in a pool as part of a equator-line crossing ritual!
Patrick Lichfield accompanied the late Queen on part of her Far East tour in 1972. On the day that HMY Britannia crossed the Equator, Lichfield was soaped and ducked in the pool: ‘But’, he wrote, ‘I did have the wit to take a waterproof camera with me and when I came up for about the third time, I took a picture of The Queen up on the bridge laughing at me.’

Fred presented the annual King's Watch to one of the soldiers of the Royal Lifeguards. The parade had a suprise visitor too.

I know you are Danish - does that happen at Rosenborg? I was there in Dec and noticed some open ground outside but not sure if it's big enough for that parade.

Love the contrast between Fred's day and Daisy's. She's earnt some gardening time.

Mary, Fred and the other kids watched Christian’s high school graduation.

Gosh yes, even when they don't look like her when they are young, they do when they are older.

Max looks great in her hot pink dress. Not keen on the actual dress style, but somehow she makes it look fabulous.

Max’s dress is from 2007 and looks it, but she carries it off! Amalia’s dress is Roland Mouret and very elegant but maybe a bit mature for a 20yo. It’s the sort of dress I’d expect to see on Sophie at a state banquet. Good to see that Wax recovered from his hangover!

It’s all the inbreeding! Even when new blood like the QM and Diana is brought in, most of them turn into Windsors after a certain amount of time!
