Not a single thing because they stopped the sizing at 20.

As ever, M&S buyers seem to feel fat women don't deserve nice things.

Even at size 16/18 everything there would make me look like the circus had come to town. Can’t we do ‘flattering’ and pretty anymore? Does all it all have to be fussy, weird colours and voluminous/amazonian fit?

Actually this whole collection is reminiscent of the ‘per una’ sale rail in days of yore… I vote fail. Her sister did nicer stuff for Debenhams back in the day.

LetticeSlay · 06/06/2024 15:47

I just had a look, thought I'd take a closer look at a bag...clicked on it...doesn't exist. Which is so typical of M&S.

Carriedoesntlivehereanymore · 06/06/2024 15:54

Nearly bought the blue and white striped shirt but it’s not quite slouchy, blouson-y, 70s enough for me - which has been confirmed by that Insta video.

memyselfi · 06/06/2024 15:59

I would have liked the jeans but they're all gone.
Do those belts only have two studs on them ?

bostonchamps · 06/06/2024 16:03

FatElvis · 06/06/2024 10:15

I only wanted the barrel leg jeans but they've sold out in pretty much every size.

If helpful, I tried them on in store today alongside the standard M&S carrot leg and actually preferred the carrot leg - and they're essentially the same shape, and £10 cheaper.

I got the red shift and the brown trouser coord and I like them, but I sized up in everything.

SapphireSlippers · 06/06/2024 16:07

It's all a but dull really though

I think the collection is rubbish! I much prefer all of M&S main line at the moment!

OrangeCrusher · 06/06/2024 16:32

Yikes, Per Una. I just shuddered at the thought of it, but you’re totally right, that’s exactly what it looks like. 😂 Im absolutely not cut out for anything boohoo or fussy.

Floisme · 06/06/2024 16:38

I like quite a few things, although not enough to be seriously tempted to buy, particularly the utility jacket and the broderie blouse.

Tbh the sleeveless mesh backed blouse is right up my street. With a nice cream vest underneath because I'm terribly middle aged as well as fat 😂

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 06/06/2024 16:43

I got the button up broderie blouse , quilted jacket, western mules and belt. Loved the jeans but they sold out super fast!

alliscalm · 06/06/2024 18:27

PragmaticDramatic · 06/06/2024 13:24

@alliscalm I like the Broderie blouse but I picked up something similar in Primark the other week for significantly less. I think Zara has something similar too.

I’ve been into an M&S store and tried it on. It’s a bit skimpy as is the quilted jacket. The lace trim blouse wasn’t in stock and it has Sezane vibes for me, so I’m keen to see it when it arrives. The barrel leg jeans are sold out online but were in store. They didn’t suit my lumps and bumps however I think they are a winner for most people. The utility jacket was the biggest disappointment: too short and bulky in the wrong place. I’d been imagining Toast style. Sadly deluded.

haribosarebest · 06/06/2024 18:53

Was in a large store today and there seemed to be lots of stock and hardly anyone looking at the clothes when I was there. I think the range she had last year was aimed more at the M&S shopper than this range

CharlotteRumpling · 06/06/2024 19:11

The M and S main line broderie is better. Also a lot of it seems very skimpy and unwearable? Too many ruffles for me, as well.

Piemam · 06/06/2024 19:12

I do like the ombre dress in the blue... but no bra? She might be 40 odd and go bra-less but that is not the norm with the 40 plus women I know. My own bra-less boobs would be resting on my belly in that dress!

LMMuffet · 06/06/2024 19:15

i think the whole collection is rather meh.

D20 · 06/06/2024 19:16

I’ve gone for the aforementioned hideous shoes and the broiderie blouse. Hoping the blouse isn’t too voluminous.

I love the look of the brown trouser outfit but I have a similar shirt I never wear.

RacingLine · 06/06/2024 19:21

I quite like the belt

LetticeSlay · 06/06/2024 15:47

The bag is still there and was saying for sale when I clicked on it.

214 · 06/06/2024 19:37

I've dived in and got the blue striped blouse which has definite 70's cheesecloth vibes as I loved the shoulder details. Let's see if it arrives though, wouldn't be surprised if its out of stock before my order gets packed!

WhompingWillows · 06/06/2024 19:41

I bought the lace trim blouse, the black leather belt (for my teen), the quilted jacket and the studded bag. I went up two sizes as I guessed that everything would be a bit skimpy? I am really hoping that the quilted jacket will be a winner here.

ChockysChimichanga · 06/06/2024 19:41

I ordered the khaki jacket and the quilted one but I’m now worried they’ll be too small if people are saying they had to size up.

LizzieBennett73 · 06/06/2024 19:46

None of the tops look like they'd hide a size 18 tummy so I quickly lost interest.

All fur coat and no knickers if you ask me.

Betsylee · 06/06/2024 19:54

I saw an article in the Daily Mail about it and thought she looked great in it, but she does look great in most things, as I'm old enough to be her mother i will probably pass on it although if I was younger I would have loved it! Her colouring and blonde hair made me very envious, everything looked so stylish!
