Does this outfit work?

I can't get these trousers to work with anything in my wardrobe!

I'd get rid of them. They're not a great fit, the legs need to be wider. Plus they're an awful colour.

These have the same vibe but with the wider legs they'll be more flattering. I have these in the rose tan ,aka dusky pink, and they're seriously comfortable. They're true to size.

I’m not seeing the issue, they are just a pair of basic trousers and look fine.

I like the blouse, looks fine to me.

The trousers would probably look better with a belt though?

Honestly can't see the issue - this outfit looks great.

My go to is a fitted black top - but that's because a white shirt like yours would make me look all puffy and bulgy. On you it looks perfect.

That’s your innate style sense telling you they don’t fit well, @CreamTrousers. Far too tight around the upper leg.

Have a look at these from Community Clothing - they’d work with pretty much anything because they have a more contemporary cut and fit better (whether worn looser or more close fitting).

Of course. But I suspect the OP is finding it hard to match those trousers to the rest of her wardrobe because the proportions are out of sync with perhaps newer tops / shirts that she has.

They are fine a pair of basic work trousers. They look polyester? The Community Clothing are so much nicer.

I like them. They are not high fashion as they would be wider from the hip, but a very nice classic.

I think the outfit is decent and a white shirt is a good pairing. I see what some are saying about the fit though. They would be perfect if either more fitted and cropped (can’t see how long they are) or wider leg. They’re sort of in between at the moment.

They look ok but the rest of you looks much nicer- your shirt, nails etc, so if there is a chance to send them back, I would. They are not terrible not that nice, and there's heaps of great linen/beige trousers around. I do agree either straight leg, flares or wide legged look more contemporary (if you don't care about this, which many on here don't, then this isn't an issue). These look straight leg but a bit unflattering somehow.

I'd add a belt. They look like they fit great! Could take a stronger colour than white too.

Thank you all! Glad they're not awful, but yes I guess they are a bit of a weird fit in that you'd expect them to either be straight leg or really wide leg and they are sort of inbetween. Not helped by the fact that they are a bit on the short side too.

@Savoydone it is from Baukjen, just received it yesterday and am really pleased with it! I'd been looking for ages too, everything was always to see through. It feels really nice to wear too.
