Sandals
Wedges
Loafers

TizerorFizz · 01/06/2024 17:53

Look at Ghost! They have loads of these skirts and the models are all wearing shoes that look good with the skirts. Quite a few low heeled Mary Jane’s seem popular.

Cheeesus · 01/06/2024 17:54

Ballet flats?

Paulhasalongmoustache · 01/06/2024 17:57

Definitely not loafers it’s a summer type skirt, not sure on Mary Jane they feel a bit weird on someone over 50

Brogues?

TizerorFizz · 01/06/2024 18:20

?? Have you seen the modern Mary Jane’s? Of course you can wear them over 50.

KirstenBlest · 01/06/2024 18:24

Lightish coloured derby/oxford style shoes. Slip on pumps. Sandals.

Cowboy boots. Trust me

DisplayPurposesOnly · 01/06/2024 19:06

Slingbacks. They're all over shoe websites at the moment.

Ah, but can you age those women from their feet and ankles?

Absurdgiraffe · 01/06/2024 19:26

Espadrilles?

Paulhasalongmoustache · 01/06/2024 20:17

Oh, I’m sure it’s me not you! Many thanks

Delicate ankle boots, maybe slightly cowboyesque but with bare legs

WesterChick · 01/06/2024 21:26

Or sling backs, channel Sezane footwear. I'm not a fan of Mary Janes if they're standard ones for grown women but Sezane do some good ones that have plenty of cheaper dupes

But the length of the skirt?

WesterChick · 01/06/2024 21:40

I have a long bias cut skirt I wear with work, I wear low ish heel ankle boots from Zara, bare legs and sleeveless black top. There's maybe an inch between the boots and the skirt, I think it looks insouciantly cool and it feels comfy.

TizerorFizz · 01/06/2024 22:32

If it’s good enough for Prada, it’s good enough for MN. Not a cowboy boot in sight. Cowboy boots are trying too hard for a 50 plus. Low heel slingbacks are easy to find.

Yeah I have several
pairs of clog type shoes but the look isn’t right for a satin skirt in my opinion

Have flat strappy sandals
