Jesus those Josef Siebel monstrosities linked above might be the most hideous footwear I’ve ever seen. And I’m including ballet flats in that.

Whilst it's all subjective those trainers are horrible and look terrible with that skirt.

I love those trainers with that skirt. But Swedish Hasbeens style cloggy sandals would look nice if trainers are not allowed.

Clog style shoes equals no style at all. With a bias skirt? Just no, never. Nor cowboy boots. I’m never a fan of making people laugh!

@Paulhasalongmoustache Do yourself a favour and look at stylish shoes - like the ones I posted! I’ve no idea where ideas come from on these threads. It’s like fancy dress.

Yeah, I only like the brown ones. The problem is kitten he still seems to be Theresa May in my head whether on fashion or not

Why not accept kitten heels are Prada!! M&S have very similar ones. It’s somewhat odd to hark back to Teresa May when lots of the catwalk summer 24 shows featured them? Who on earth cares what Teresa May chose? She might even have wanted comfortable footwear!

Also I’m sure Teresa May wore leather trousers, suits and underwear. Are they off your shopping list too?

What about those flat leather slides that have a vaguely 'Greek key' interlocking design? They're everywhere again this year. I'd suggest fisherman's sandals (because I love mine) but I think they'd be too clompy with a delicate satin skirt, and not in a good way.
Alternatively - Birkenstock type sandals if the slides are too flat?

Pointy flats maybe? I wear some vivaia ones at work and think they go with skirts quite well. Make my legs look longer etc

the Hermes rip off slides? Yes, everywhere but very casual for a more formal event - if this is one? More beach kaftan look with a Loewe basket!!
