Size 12-14 5 foot 6 weighing 11 stones?

Ive bought 2 along with tankinis anyway but just wanted others' honest opinions please.

Big boobs and curvy bum, fat belly though 😩 . Ive lost 18 pounds but can still grab 2 handfuls of fat on my middle.

I walk 5 miles every day, got mum bingo wings and need botox but i think for 44 i don't look too bad.

What do you think?

Yes but I holiday in Italy and France mostly, where women don't care about these things. Seems to be a very British mindset to boil on a beach because the body wobbles.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 30/05/2024 15:45

I'm 44 and I will always wear a bikini

Ineedaholidayyyy · 30/05/2024 15:47

Of course you can! Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. People of all ages, shapes and sizes wear bikinis, there is no rule once you get to a certain age or size that you should stop.

jay55 · 30/05/2024 15:49

I'll be wearing a bikini top with cycling short length bottoms next week. I'm short and fat but will be spending time at the pool and find one pieces so hard to get in and out of.

HideTheCroissants · 30/05/2024 15:49

If I could find a one piece that fit then I might wear it but until then this mid fifties, big boobed (I mean joke size on a smallish frame) short lass will be wearing bikinis. That’s 32FF/G cup bikini top with size 10/12 bottoms - no thongs!

Bignanna · 30/05/2024 15:57

No, because although others may not care about my flab, cellulite etc, I do! Shorts and t shirt

KnittedCardi · 30/05/2024 16:06

I only wear bikinis, 58, 5ft5, 11 stone. I give no shits, and also in Italy, where I have spent most of my holidays, everyone wears bikinis, young, old, fat, thin, scars, cellulite, everything hanging out. No-one cares. In fact you stand out more if you wear a swimsuit.

Hahaha .... Th is me too!

Bikinis can be worn at any age! And I envy your flat tummy! I've a really blubbery pot belly but ridiculously skinny arms and legs, lol. I'd still deffo wear one though. I'm 43.

SallyWD · 30/05/2024 16:13

I've never worn a bikini in my life! Just not comfortable showing too much flesh. If you feel comfortable in a bikini then go for it.

Catnipcupcakes · 30/05/2024 16:14

If you are comfortable in a bikini you wear one. No problem.

My age and size is about the same as yours and I absolutely would if I didn’t have a pot belly. Its only a little one but I find current society is very ‘aware’ of stomachs that are not flat and strangers no longer know how not to say everything that crosses their minds. even at my advanced age I’ve been asked if I’m pregnant several times even when fully clothed.

NeedWineNow · 30/05/2024 16:16

Yes! I've avoided them for years but after last year, when I broke two nails trying to get out of a damp tankini top, and the continual struggle of getting a one piece swimsuit that fits my shape and isn't cut up to my armpits, I've decided a bikini is the way to go. I'm 61, 13st6 and definitely have more lower tummy than I feel comfortable with, but seeing ladies of all shapes and ages on the beach in Greece wearing bikinis without a thought has inspired me. We're not going away for another 3 months so I'm hoping a bit of exercising and a closer eye on my diet will enable me to shape up a little bit but I'll still be comfortable.

cannotfindanickname · 30/05/2024 16:18

Yes, though always underwire and full coverage knickers. I am 59.

MinnieMountain · 30/05/2024 16:22

I learnt my lesson as a slim 22yo on a beach in Sardinia wearing a swimsuit- 99% of the women were in bikinis. Now I only wear a swimsuit when the lido’s a bit cold.

hby9628 · 30/05/2024 16:23

Yes. I'm the same age, same Heidi and slightly heavier. Currently on hols in Greece & have worn a bikini. It's fine.

maw1681 · 30/05/2024 16:24

Yes of course, go for it!

Would you wear a bikini aged 44?
haribosarebest · 30/05/2024 16:26

I'm 58, same height as OP but sadly a couple of stone heavier, and I always wear a bikini on holiday. Like a few PP have said they're sturdy underwired tops and decent coverage briefs. No string bikinis here! And everyone is wearing them on holiday, all ages and shapes and sizes. And, kindly OP, no one is looking at you! Enjoy

Baxdream · 30/05/2024 17:24

I'm 44 and have bikinis for my holiday.
High waisted are your friend. I've bought a lovely black high waisted and halter neck bikini from Boden

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 30/05/2024 17:25

Yes! Definitely wear a bikini and enjoy your holiday 😁

izzygirlis4 · 30/05/2024 17:25

I'm 48 and spent my last holiday topless in a thong.

EasternStandard · 30/05/2024 17:26

Sure I only wear bikinis and nearly 50

I see women around me on holiday in them all
ages and sizes

eurochick · 30/05/2024 17:28

I'm the same height and weight as you but late 40s. I've put on a stone in the past year that I am not happy about (thanks peri!) but I still plan to wear a bikini this summer.

ohyesido · 30/05/2024 17:28

Yea,I do at 41 and you sound in fabulous shape so you should definitely wear it if you want to

Knackeredmommy · 30/05/2024 17:29

Yep! Women of all sizes and ages wear them, including me at 45, I have honestly never judged another woman's choice of swimwear!
