Am mourning the loss of my Merrell Terran Lattice II walking sandals. Very comfortable, and once on, pretty nice for sandals you could walk all day in. The straps were arranged just so - I don't know why Merrell have changed the design in the updated version. I've looked for ages and can't find them now, apart from second-hand on ebay. Second-hand sandals are a bridge too far, alas.

Sometimes when I come across, say, a t-shirt or a jumper that turns out to be just the right cut or whatever, I might buy another one while I can. Wish I'd thought to do that with these Merrells. Oh well. Tell me I'm not alone?

Estée Lauder caffe latte lipstick R74 before they discontinued it about ten years ago. I loved it for years and I can’t get hold of it for love nor money. It is perfect for me. There is a really dodgy one on eBay at the moment but the colour is all wrong (probably because it’s so old).

Waitrose clementine and ginger range of toiletries. It was incredibly popular why did they discontinue it?? Just bring it back and people will come into your stores to buy other things too.

I loved this too. They also had fig and sandalwood in the same range, which I really, really loved. Gutted when they withdrew it as it was so nice and so cheap!

So many shoes.., I've learned the hard way now to buy another pair asap when I find the holy grail of comfy and elegant. This year I purchased another pair of Sosander low wedge espadrilles as soon as in stock as they are the perfect summer shoes. Likewise I bought another pair of Clarks knee length block heel half suede half fabric boots as soon as I saw them in the sale to tuck away for when existing ones die.

I also miss the days when even cheap high street shops did nice quality natural fabric basics like pure cotton t shirts. How I miss ten old Dorothy Perkins cotton camisole vests and tshirts.

Yes to both of these! Although I probably thought they were seasonal as I think I only bought them at Christmas time.

I'm about to put a Waitrose order in now so I'm going to see what 'flavours' they actually no do. As far as I know, I've only seen Pink Grapefruit stuff lately.

So many perfumes - Estée Lauder Sensuous Noir in particular

Do you camp on campsites @pictoosh ? Any tips for a newbie going camping?

Wish I'd bought more of the estee lauder futurist foundation before they jakced up the prices crazily

Depends where I'm going and what I want to do. I do a mixture of campsites with or without electric hook up as well as wild camping. I wouldn't use the tent I've linked to on this thread to go too far from the car...I have an ultralight model for that sort of nonsense...this tent is a good solid, casual weekender.

When I'm alone I usually do two nights so I have a full day for whatever activity I have planned (usually a cycle or a hillwalk). I love coming back to the tent, reaching into the coolbox for a cider and kicking back to look at my photos and make my dinner in peace.
Tips...get a power bank and a quality coolbox.

Penhaligons Love Potion No.9
It was discontinued donkeys years ago … but I still ask any time I’m passing a shop if they’ve brought it back.

but reflecting …. I had serious notions buying that on an annual salary that would have barely exceeded the cost of a bottle 😂

Leopardmatches · 19/05/2024 21:03

Stella perfume by Stella McCartney. I felt so adult buying that in Selfridges, Oxford Street.

About 15 years ago there was a really sweet Roberto Cavalli perfume that was discontinued, I bought as many as I could before, but I've never found the equivalent scent since

Tell me it’s not serpentine silver edt

MrsSkeffington · 19/05/2024 21:17

Eu de parfum 2 by Gucci - I've never been happy with a perfume since I adored it.

If anyone can recommend something similar I'd be so grateful

SeeingRainbowsInTheGloom · 19/05/2024 21:27

Another fan of Waitrose Clementine and ginger!

Also, the original Van Cleef perfume. At least two male colleagues bought it for their girlfriends after liking it on me. Not sure how that went down...

renomeno · 19/05/2024 21:28

Boots used to do a version of this type of hairclip that I can no longer find anywhere! They were so easy to use and comfortable to wear.

things you wish you'd bought more of before they disappeared
Chitterchatterchoo · 19/05/2024 21:30

Another one for sweaty Betty Gary yoga pants - first they changed the material and now they’ve disappeared. So comfy and long lasting.

AsCoolAsKimDeal · 19/05/2024 21:32

Dune Lopez tan leather sandals - chic and so comfortable.

Some Uniqlo T-shirts- scoop neck, 3/4 sleeve, Supima cotton. I had four and wore them to death - every year I hope they'll bring them back.

Eyelashesoffire · 19/05/2024 21:57

Body shop chamomile eye makeup remover - they changed the formula and it's not the same

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 19/05/2024 22:07

Second the Revlon Lip Butters. I have two - Candy Apple & another one & I am so sad they are nearly used up.

Adjustable black longline vests in H+M-they were a staple buy at about £2.99, but seem to have stopped making them completely! You can get longline vests in other places but not with adjustable straps…

Tu black lace-topped knicker shorts with no VPL in packs of 3. Why would you stop making those-they were the best knickers in the whole world :(

EXACTLY this @Shinyandnew1 - H&M long strappy vest tops came in a variety of colours and the straps were adjustable! They were thin and clingy and perfect for layering. They were cheap. There seems to be NOTHING similar with adjustable straps and for some unknown reason H&M discontinued them in 2020.

GellerYeller · 19/05/2024 22:24
