Am mourning the loss of my Merrell Terran Lattice II walking sandals. Very comfortable, and once on, pretty nice for sandals you could walk all day in. The straps were arranged just so - I don't know why Merrell have changed the design in the updated version. I've looked for ages and can't find them now, apart from second-hand on ebay. Second-hand sandals are a bridge too far, alas.

Sometimes when I come across, say, a t-shirt or a jumper that turns out to be just the right cut or whatever, I might buy another one while I can. Wish I'd thought to do that with these Merrells. Oh well. Tell me I'm not alone?

Waitrose clementine and ginger range of toiletries. It was incredibly popular why did they discontinue it?? Just bring it back and people will come into your stores to buy other things too.

Oh, I loved that too.

StepCombatAttack · 19/05/2024 16:44

Crocs Olivia and Kaydee flats, especially the flowery ones.
No longer available. I’ve nearly worn through all of my pairs.

Nothing exciting but H&M used to sell these amazingly comfy gym leggings from their exercise range - I got them about 3 years ago & they are easily the best ones I owe, beating the more expensive brands I’ve had/tried on hands down.
The fabric is soft and buttery, nothing sticks to them, they don’t go baggy, they haven’t bobbled or faded, they stay up - honestly they are super leggings! They still look new 3 years later.

I went in about a year later to get another pair but couldn’t find them, looked in about 5 H&M’s, even emailed customer services 🤣alas, was informed they had updated the fabric/style. I bought the updated pair but they’re just not the same. Wish I’d bought 4 more pairs 😩

I agree about the H and M leggings! Yes, the ones I bought about three years ago for about £15 were much better and more comfy than Sweaty Betty’s! I wish I’d stocked up.

@amymel2016 Have a look at Barry M colour changing lipstick. It’s not as good, but acceptable!

ttcat37 · 19/05/2024 17:56

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: beef and mustard Brannigans.

WasteOfPaint · 19/05/2024 17:58

Body Shop Vitamin E lipbalm. ELF putty eye primer. M&S Sumptuously Soft bras as noted above. Sure there are lots of other things!

mondaytosunday · 19/05/2024 18:22

Crabtree and Evelyn jojoba soap/moisteriser! I LOVE the smell. It was one of their more popular ranges and when (the brand) was sold it was discontinued. I've tried eBay but the stuff I got isn't quite it.
I emptied an old suitcase that was in the back if the closet and found one of the shell shaped bars - bliss! It still smelled great even though must be at least ten years old.
Also Varca. I love their sandals and would buy a pair every year. The other brands of similar style just aren't the same.

DameCelia · 19/05/2024 18:32

@willsandnoodle
Diptyque L'eau Rose is V similar.
Very spendy though

kwetu · 19/05/2024 18:36

I second the sumptuously soft bra's from M&S, they were the only bras I've ever had that I wasn't desperate to take off at the first opportunity.

WombatChocolate · 19/05/2024 18:56

Boots Time Delay face cream. It was really good. At full price it was about £12 but often to be had for half price or 3 for 2. Was replaced by one called LIFT which was nowhere near as good and the. That one seems to have gone too.

M and S Sumptuously Soft bras still exist - rebranded as Body Soft. Dont like the sides and blackstrap though - lacy instead of the very soft and stretchy fabric of old.

Second-hand sandals are a bridge too far, alas.

I buy second-hand things all the time that I've loved and can't get new.

Sandals though? If they're second hand they'll have moulded to someone else's feet.

L'oreal collagen filler eye cream, it was perfect, i'll never get over them discontinuing it!

tkwal · 19/05/2024 19:24

I wish I had bought more of my favourite summer perfume, Essencia Femme by Loewe. It smelled of honey-ripe watermelon ,freesia and roses. Miss it so much

Georgyporky · 19/05/2024 19:32

I bought an electric toothbrush from Aldi c.13 years ago.

It was a fraction of the price of OralB, Phillips etc, & I bought a LOT of brush-heads.

The heads have now run out. I've managed to contact the German manufacturers, but they are no longer made.
Looks like a v. expensive replacement is needed when the actual business part is still fine.

Thank you for the link, I just purchased one. I've a few tents for different circumstances and this looks ideal for a weekend away on my own. I've been using a Vango Banshee 300 which has a door each end and two vestibules which is great and handy but vestibule are small so I'm looking forward to trying this one. Had a Eurohike 4 person for at least 20 years which I only gave up on two years ago (kept the poles though).

That is precisely what I do with it...disappear on my own. Is perfect little palace for one.

Alexander McQueen kingdom perfume

I loved the MyQuern perfume

SarahAndQuack · 19/05/2024 19:41

Boadicea the Victorious 'Exotic' perfume. I loved it, got so many compliments. It just suited my body chemistry, which a lot of perfumes do not. Never found anything else as nice.

OggyBunsen · 19/05/2024 19:43

Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers perfume in Love - got married in this.

Molton Brown eyeshadows - perfect for day to day use.

These jersey dresses in Next which had a dropped waist, V-neck and were a bit 'swingy' when you did a twirl - had two, one is just about hanging on as a not-leaving-the-house-today dress.

Bought as many Tom Ford lipsticks in Adora as I could when they were discontinued - my perfect everyday lipstick and I'll be so sad when they're gone.

Houseplanter · 19/05/2024 19:46

@piperatthegates @Squirrelsnut I have a bottle with about 2 squirts missing if you want it

Sounds great, its so good to get away and totally chill, I come home so relaxed and rejuvenated. I'm in Ireland and the company wouldn't deliver to here but I'm fortunate to have friends in Northern Ireland so get stuff delivered to them and it's an excuse to go camping up there.

Iamawomenphenominally · 19/05/2024 20:11

Alien Essence Absolue. 😭😭😭

I'm so picky about perfume. This one I just absolutely love. I just hope one day they bring it back.

Bourgois blusher and eye shadow pots. I used a great slighly shimmery, pale pink/nude one almost every day and last month baggage handling at JFK destroyed my last pot and it isn't sold in the UK anymore. ☹️

I'm sure this is back you know, I saw it in superdrug last week and thought ooooh

Do you camp on campsites @pictoosh ? Any tips for a newbie going camping?

Wish I'd bought more of the estee lauder futurist foundation before they jakced up the prices crazily

Lululemon on the fly pants. The most comfortable pair of trousers I own, they're stretchy and just perfect. I can't believe they got rid of them.

They are still my go to trousers for work or anything where I need to look put together but still casual. Really hoping they bring them back some day. If they do I will be stocking up. The "replacement" they have out now just isn't as good.

I love these too

Quite alot to choose from on Ebay in several sizes

Worth a look

SudExpress · 19/05/2024 20:47

There are 2 bottles of Jade on Italian eBay at €14 each and one gift set with body lotion, shower gel and perfume at €24 if anyone is interested.
(I bought a couple of full bottles when I heard it was being discontinued - still £7 then, mind!)
