Am mourning the loss of my Merrell Terran Lattice II walking sandals. Very comfortable, and once on, pretty nice for sandals you could walk all day in. The straps were arranged just so - I don't know why Merrell have changed the design in the updated version. I've looked for ages and can't find them now, apart from second-hand on ebay. Second-hand sandals are a bridge too far, alas.

Sometimes when I come across, say, a t-shirt or a jumper that turns out to be just the right cut or whatever, I might buy another one while I can. Wish I'd thought to do that with these Merrells. Oh well. Tell me I'm not alone?

Loads of things over the years but normally shoes as my feet are long and narrow and it’s hard to find things that suit. I bought four pairs of the same narrow New Look plimsolls a year or two back which I’m working through.

Probably my winter coat too. It’s about 8-9 years old from Next and looking a bit past its best but it’s perfect.

Have you tried Moda In Pelle? I love them as they are definitely for narrow feet.

Agh @Calypsocuckoo I've checked my old orders and I did actually order a body soft bra a year ago and returned it!! Grin can't remember the issue, possibly too tight, so I might go in store and try on other sizes... drives me mad that they mess with a good formula!

Multi pack knickers in mini. So hard to find now, or only in one crap colourway. Oceans of 'shorts'.

John Frieda Cool Dip aftersun shampoo, the scent of heaven.

ACupOfTae · 19/05/2024 11:41

Clinique Self Sun fake tan in medium-deep. It was my holy grail fake tan and I wore it for years. I’ve tried maybe a dozen different tans since and nothing comes close.

Yardley floral jade on direct cosmetics

Sadly, Flora Jade is different.
I have a nearly-full bottle of Jade but am loathe to use it, which is silly I know.

Bourgois blusher and eye shadow pots. I used a great slighly shimmery, pale pink/nude one almost every day and last month baggage handling at JFK destroyed my last pot and it isn't sold in the UK anymore. ☹️

It’s back. They sell them in Superdrug.

TheOGCCL · 19/05/2024 11:51

@Isometimeswonder Yes thank you I have had a bit of luck with their shoes over the years! Still have some fantastic boots and some going out shoes. But it’s a bit hit and miss and the trainer type shoes tend to be a bit clumpy for me. And unfortunately there are no shops near me. I did visit one this week actually but sometimes they go a bit too ‘Med cruise holiday’ for me and this was one of those times.

LadyGodivas · 19/05/2024 12:29

Nothing exciting but H&M used to sell these amazingly comfy gym leggings from their exercise range - I got them about 3 years ago & they are easily the best ones I owe, beating the more expensive brands I’ve had/tried on hands down.
The fabric is soft and buttery, nothing sticks to them, they don’t go baggy, they haven’t bobbled or faded, they stay up - honestly they are super leggings! They still look new 3 years later.

I went in about a year later to get another pair but couldn’t find them, looked in about 5 H&M’s, even emailed customer services 🤣alas, was informed they had updated the fabric/style. I bought the updated pair but they’re just not the same. Wish I’d bought 4 more pairs 😩

Stella by Stella McCartney. So so beautiful. DD found me a bottle on EBay and I am using it sparingly!

I've felt this way about many an item OP and now, where practical and affordable I do try and buy another and store "on standby ".

I got a lovely pair of black plastic rip off Birkenstocks from Schu last summer which requires no wearing in and I can walk miles in. As soon as they were reduced I purchased a second pair.

Provided you keep tags on until wearing and store well, worse case scenario if you change your mind you can always whack them on say, Vinted as BNWT and get something back for them.

I'm delighted to share this link.
We have tents for different purposes (family camping/expedition etc) and have been through a few in our time. I really rate this one.
It has a few design features that suit me.

It has a side door in the porch. These are invaluable for when it's pelting down. The sloping front door, as seen on so many tents, drip into your porch when you go in and out in the rain. The side door prevents you from having to use it so the tent stays dry. Very few small tents feature them.

It has a porch large enough to cook in, relax in and even fit two camping chairs when it's wet.

It has a dark lining in the sleeping space which is soothing in the sun after you get back from being active.

It is very quick to put up and take down.

Thank you for the link, I just purchased one. I've a few tents for different circumstances and this looks ideal for a weekend away on my own. I've been using a Vango Banshee 300 which has a door each end and two vestibules which is great and handy but vestibule are small so I'm looking forward to trying this one. Had a Eurohike 4 person for at least 20 years which I only gave up on two years ago (kept the poles though).

A limited edition Rituals candle called Serendipity. I was gifted it, then bought up any remaining candles I found online. I think I got the last half dozen in the Uk.

I have one of these too - you're right, they are really good tents - well-designed, and good value.

Fitflop sandals with me. I extended their life by painting the synth leather with acrylic paint. Once I met someone with the same ones and we raved about them together, like long lost solemates.
I did find a similar pair, not used on eBay, but they are, wait for it, just not the same.
The same with their boots. Have spent too much of my life haunting ebay for a replica pair. I gave up and bought a new model last year and have barely worn them. Not as bouncy, not my superpower in footwear any more.
I feel everyone's pain on this!

margotsdevil · 19/05/2024 14:28

Kiehls Butterstick lip treatment. SPF tinted lip balm stick. I think I've cleared out all remaining stock on eBay 😔

TheSproutOfWrath · 19/05/2024 14:32

Never be too busy honey shower gel. I managed to bag the last case of 24 bottles by ringing Lush direct. Loved that smell so much. I've never found another one quite like it.

GaslitByGap · 19/05/2024 14:38

And another one - Boots no.7 eyeshadow in Wheatsheaf. The perfect neutral, not too shiny or too matte. I confess I did cave and buy an unopened one on ebay for silly money.

Yes!! I had the perfect Fitflop flat, black, calf-length boots. So, so comfortable. Gone.
Same with their zippy high-top leather trainers.

Bamboo vests in Lidl about 10 years ago. I still wear the 2 that I bought every week. They've got softer over the years.
