Thought you all might like to see some gowns from an exhibition I saw a couple of days ago. There are a couple of Diors and McQueens. I think Kate wore the one-shouldered dress in red for her 40th portraits.

Beautiful. I love Dior dresses, they created some classics. I'm not keen on the one like a vase, though, or the one which looks like it's owner was wearing it in an abbatoir!

It’s the Sleeping Beauties exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was the theme of the Met Gala last month. It was the most beautiful exhibition and so well curated. There were even some dresses from the 18th century!

I'd love to see the 18thC dresses.

Whereabouts are you, @Maireas ? If London or Bath are doable for you, both the V&A and the Costume Museum are really good.

I've just googled "historic costume collections UK" and it's come up with loads of suggestions, btw, and now I just want to see all of them!

I didn't like the red dress, the fabric and the huge bow. I did like the floaty one.

I loved the red dress! I thought she looked really great and modern but the floaty photo ventured into Sisi cosplay territory.

Fergie is on the cover of Hello and looks great - she really knows what colours suit her. I have to say she seems far more ‘visible’ right now and has been pictured out and about a lot lately too. New publicist?

Fergie's eyes look very blue there! Agree that's a fab colour on her.

Fergie last week vs this week. There is some serious face, neck and hand photoshop going on in that Hello shoot. She looks good but I am not sure it's a realistic image of her. I doubt AP would publish it!

I really like the turquoise and the shape & material of this, though I loathe yellow/orange.
