Just that! Would love to buy now, wondering if heavy and chunky is still in because there are lots on sale and on Vinted etc.

I'll mostly be wearing my big buckle Milanos. Those thick soled chunky black sandals feel a bit dated to me, but you should wear what you like. For colour, I rate Moshulu but I'm not sure they'd be described as trendy.

No idea but I'll be wearing my Palmairas!

MorrisZapp · 24/03/2024 09:28

I've got semi chunky Timberlands, in tan. Can walk for miles in them, and they get regular compliments. I'm hoping they last another full summer of hard use!

WhatWillIWear · 24/03/2024 09:29

Can you not just browse through the 'New in' sections on the websites of all the brands you're interested in? (And maybe cross reference with what's left in the sales from last year.)

And of course observe how the models are shod in the new season's clothes.

Alternatively they could use a style forum for advice….

If you've been on here for any length of time you'd know the feedback is very varied and lots of people who have no idea about style or beauty seem to think they are in possession of the best advice.

I feel S&B advice should come with a snapshot of the poster. So we would know who to ignore.

Imagine a supermarket. Imagine getting opinions from every person in that supermarket. What percentage do you think would have a clue about style and beauty? Because that's MN

WhatWillIWear · 24/03/2024 15:46

Grin S&B on footwear will be 50% Doc Martens and 50% M&S. Anything else will be met with howls of protest ...

lindyloo57 · 24/03/2024 16:43

I'm wearing the sandals i brought last, semi chunky don't care if they not in fashion I hope to get more then one summer in them.

Gettingonmygoat · 24/03/2024 17:54

Fitflops, same as i have for years, don't care what is in fashion or not, comfort wins always.

DillDanding · 24/03/2024 18:02

I think strappy chunky flats will still be very popular, also Swedish chunky heeled styles.

OnHerSolidFoundations · 24/03/2024 19:16

Birkies all the way here! I really don't care if anyone doesn't like em 🤷🏻‍♀️

Flyinghighhighinthesky · 24/03/2024 22:01

I'm going Sketchers Arch Support this summer. Not fond of styles available but my sore hip will thank me.

1ittlegreen · 24/03/2024 22:27

I tried Teva last year but they made my feet look like sausages so I've just ordered these:

Also still love my Acient Greeks.

tobee · 24/03/2024 22:34

I usually go to Who What Wear these days for this. However, I was surprised that many are, how should I put it? Veering away from the practical than usual.

Here we go though; who says heels are no longer worn?:-

tobee · 24/03/2024 22:38

Having a look on similar sites, bows seem to be very in. (As well as flip flops and ballet flats and chunky)

Precipice · 24/03/2024 22:42

Do you not have sandals from last year? Even if the answer is no, you must have some idea of what kind of sandals you find comfortable and will suit your lifestyle and your clothing style. There's no point you buying the most fashionable shoe in the world if it's going to make your feet hurt.

familyissues12345 · 24/03/2024 22:52

I'm looking forward to whipping out my salties - but I doubt they are seen as trendy Grin

They might…. want to have a chat with other people about it?

Usernamewassavedsuccessfully · 24/03/2024 22:58

I want Lotta clogs. I don't care if they are in, I love them and I want them. Unfortunately I've got fucking huge feet and cankles so they would look hideous. If I wake up tomorrow with beautiful ankles, I'm getting them.

HaveringGold · 24/03/2024 23:05

I love it when someone posts random brands on S&B that way you find out different brands, not always to your taste but that doesn't mean they aren't stylish to others.

As for Sandals I'll be in my birkies as usual or bared footwear but I'm seeing more heels all be it chunky or kitten heels and lots of comfy sandals (even Ancient Greeks are pushing comfy range).

But I'm particularly loving Vogues 'swifter' trend www.vogue.co.uk/article/shoe-trends-ss24

DianaTaverner · 24/03/2024 23:11

I've dug out a pair of wooden platforms from the back of my wardrobe very similar to these. I think they'll work brilliantly with wide legged ankle length jeans.

Bbq1 · 24/03/2024 23:42

Can't you just wear what you like to wear and are comfortable in, Op?
