Evening everyone. I'm starting this new thread at a bit of a sad time, and I know we're all thinking of Kate and her family. Let's hope that as we continue in our lighthearted way, good news arrives for her, and others who are in a similar situation, either themselves or loved ones.🌷

Lovely montage, @RomainesToBeSeen ! What a nice colourful display.

Princess Caroline opening an exhibition in Monaco. All Chanel, I'm guessing, but not the heavy logo stuff, worn by her and Charlotte of late. The bag and shoes are tell tale CC, the long jacket and trousers less so. A nice, pared down outfit.

Princess Caroline attended the opening of the exhibition Pasolini

Princess Caroline of Monaco opened the exhibition Pasolini in Chiaroscuro at Villa Sauber. Princess Charlene. Easter Service at Windsor Castle

I prefer Caroline's hair brown.

Maireas · 01/04/2024 17:00

The trouble is, it's not brown forever and you have to make a choice.

I think Caroline's hair is great. There are so few women in the public eye with grey hair.

I agree. It's such a crime to age if you're a woman. She's so chic and elegant as well.

I think she looks fab. It’s nice to see her aging naturally, and looking good for it. Much more flattering and elegant in many ways than trying to fit with societal perceptions of beauty and looking overdone and too plumped up.

Leti, Felipe and Leonor out to dinner. Leonor is on a break from military school. Both she and Leti are wearing Zara striped sweaters, and have a good casual look. Leti is wearing her chunky Hugo Boss loafers, which I know haven't been popular on here with some, but they're practical and suited to the outfit.

The comments on Caroline’s hair in that article are hilarious. Inc from one woman who said her husband said he’d divorce her if she let herself go like that!

I love a chunky loafer, but I don’t think they do work with those particular trousers that Leti is wearing, because they are straight and the whole lot is black. I think she looks like a workman in safety boots. I think chunky loafers look better with a wider leg or a slim cropped trouser. Or maybe at least the loafers a different colour to the trousers would be better 🤷‍♀️

edited hideous punctuation 😆

MotherofPearl · 02/04/2024 11:15

I like the striped sweater but I can't get on board with the chunky loafers I'm afraid.

QueryA · 02/04/2024 12:05

Princess Madeleine of Sweden and her daughters posted an Easter photo. The oldest (Leonore?) does not look amused. 😂. Probably jealous that her brother didn't have to appear in cutesy clothes.

Oh dear! She does look a bit reluctant!
That photo is a bit too much with the soft focus. I didn't recognise Madeleine.

My youngest hated it when I let the grey take over. I had a compliment the other evening a male friend said that my hair was beautiful. I do look after it though.

MaryFuckingFerguson · 02/04/2024 12:10

I love chunky loafers but they definitely do not work with those trousers. You need a gap.

Fortunately I don’t think her estranged husband’s views on her hair are high on the list of Caroline’s priorities!

Maireas · 02/04/2024 12:52

Indeed not! I understand that Prince Ernst is now living in Spain with his artist girlfriend....

OP posts:
KillingMeDeftIy · 02/04/2024 13:10

I wonder why Caroline doesn’t divorce him? Surely it can’t really be because she doesn’t want to be demoted from a Royal Highness back to a Serene Highness?

And good luck to his artist girlfriend, given his somewhat “artistic” temperament!

Maireas · 02/04/2024 13:11

Interesting... could be the demotion? Maybe the House of Hanover is a better connection than the House of Grimaldi, although EA's antics certainly don't reflect that.

OP posts:
MotherofPearl · 02/04/2024 13:12

Ooof yes, I pity Prince Ernst's girlfriend. "Artistic temperament" is one way of putting it! Grin

KnickerlessParsons · 02/04/2024 13:58

The House of Grimaldi is an actual reigning house though - over the Principality of Monaco. The Kingdom of Hanover no longer exists, so he's not a real prince.

Maireas · 02/04/2024 14:02

True, but it does make her an HRH and I suppose he's technically in line to the British throne.

My friend is a descendant of the house of Hanover her late mother was royalty.
