Why have mumsnet changed the format? It's awful!

Anyone else struggling with the new layout. Why have they changed it?

I really struggle to see the individual threads. I love this board and it's putting me off using it.

Can we go back to the old set up please MN?

It's all looking the same to me (at this moment in time anyway).

Mine has the title in bold and then the start of each thread written underneath. Adverts half way down the page, pictures posters have attached too. It's a mess.

Looks the same to me as well.
I don't use the app, just the mobile site via the browser.

This is how I see it.

Go to talk settings and chose Compact view.

You mean like the photos below? The white background one is when you go into a Talk section rather than the blue highlighted ones where it's Active threads.

It's only on S&B from what I can see. All other topics are still displayed in the usual format. It just stops me reading as many S&B threads tbh as CBA to scroll down.

It's only on S&B, though, not in other topics with threads in Active and it looks like the attached photo.

Ah right so I've found the compact view setting which does reset it to how I like it but then it defaults back to the shitty view.

Yeah they are trying it out on a few boards. Gardening is the same. Hate it. Think there's a thread on site stuff if you want to give feedback.

If you want to change it permanently and not have to click on compact view every time you open the board, go to Talk Settings and change it to compact view and make sure to scroll down and click save settings.

Yes, it's awful. It's like this on the Property/DIY board too. Many thanks to @botemp for sharing the fix!

Thanks for the thread and to @BruceAndNosh for the tip, I'd also been switched to this op view somehow and am now happily back to normal.

@botemp thank you so much - it's been like this on a couple of boards I'm frequently on and I've got so fed up with having to change it to compact view every time. Didn't think to check if there was a setting to change it permanently!

Has anyone lost the blue menu that used to sit underneath permanently that had active threads, I’m on … etc? As you navigated through the site it stayed at the bottom. That no longer shows for me.

I hate it too.

I hate having trending topics pop up half way down. I come to s&b to relax, I don't have the capacity ATM to take on others dramas or tragedy, but it's hard to avoid when mixed into s&b 😔
