help me decide between bags

I don't know if anyone is still up but can you help me choose between these tote bags (or help me find a better option) must be

1. leather
2. able to wear over one shoulder
3. traditional leather colours - black or brown although I could go to oxblood

The style I am / am aiming for is a bit of a cross between classic country and boho chic

This one is really lovely. I love the shape and it looks like it would be a more comfortable bag to carry. I love the dark green option too, but that's me as I'm not keen on brown or tan.

The bridge bag would be my choice and looks like it fits your brief. Gorgeous bag, lovely shape and looks very comfy too carry.

The Bridge is lovely! I like the green too, but it's too close in colour to my favourite coat. I'd have to go for the brown.

Definitely The Bridge bag...I just LOVE it, I bought one for my Mum nearly 30 years ago & it's still going strong!

I also think that it's got more of a boho vibe, which you wanted, than the others.

I don't usually think of ysl but the proportions and finish are faultless here, I don't like the shade of brown but it looks spectacular in black.

I think woven leather is having a 'moment' but it's been around for a long time and I love the contrast in texture.

Of the three you posted, definitely no. 3. The two woven ones are too deep and boxy and the straps are too short so they wouldn't comfortably stay on your shoulder, you'd constantly be hoiking them back up.

The YSL one @GreatGateauxsby posted is beautiful if you can stretch the budget. The Bridge one is also stunning but looks like it might be heavy, if that's a consideration?

The third, in tan - as long as the straps are long enough.

I like the orange one best. The pebbled texture of the leather. Much prefer it to the bridge bags. The third one is similar to a Radley tote but larger with a higher price tag.

I think the key here is comparing the dimensions we know that both the willow tote and YSL sit comfortably on the shoulder, the depth between doesn't vary as much as I thought they would from the pictures but the handle length really does

If you will ever take the bag on a train/bus/plane, get one with a zip. Ditto if you will ever go into any crowded area with it. Totes with no zip are a gift to pickpockets, and, if you put them on the floor of a plane/train, half your stuff falls out.

yup there's really just no arguing with this logic, a top zip is more secure

Those Rowdy bags are gorgeous and they look like they would look even nicer as they got a bit battered and aged. Very different aesthetic to the Aspinal ones you liked though.

My favourite is the second one you posted snd I also really like the Willow one in green.

Before you make a big purchase maybe try a big bag for a few weeks. I've got one with lots of internal pockets and can never find anything. I'm selling it on.

TBH I find the totes not very special at all and not worth the money at all-so many inexpensive totes that look very similar so I'd probably splurge on one of the gorgeous bags.

Have you decided?? No not at all @MrsMitford3 I'm a hopeless case, the shortlist is shot to hell. All the bags on it are lovely in their own way.

This is a good size OP. Fits more than it seems and is cross-body.

Has been my go to for so long and hasn't aged much.
