Tu clothing

I never normally buy from Tu as I thought their clothes were a bit frumpy but a jumper in Sainsbury's caught me eye yesterday in the sale. A bright blue colour - it goes well with my black wide leg trousers and is perfect for the smart casual look at work.

Came home to look online at the dresses and I've now ordered a pink corduroy dress from there. I was eyeing up a similar one from Oliver Bonas and this is a fraction of the price.

I feel like Sainsburys might have a new buyer there as the current stuff is really good!

I have a couple of jumpers and a t shirt that I really like from Tu.
They are some of my favourites that I wear a lot.

I'm probably not a good example though because style and beauty is definitely not my area of expertise 😆

mynameiscalypso · 07/03/2024 10:38

I'm a big fan of their stuff in general (and particularly their pants which have replaced M&S pants for me).

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 07/03/2024 10:38

I linked to a few skirts from there recently as I'd bought two.

Everbelle seems to be an independent brand but Tu brand itself is good. The only comment I'd say is their quality has gone downhill a bit. Leggings got a hole after a few wears.

They used to do great value leather biker jackets, don't do those now.

Very good for everyday stuff though and the odd real gem from there.

I just wish they'd do more cotton either high or other leg styles, not boy shorts. And not with lace on them! And preferably colours.

Yes it's the Everbelle stuff I like - well I think I do - I haven't received the dress yet so can't vouch for the quality or what it will look like on me compared to the tall slim model!

If it works for you then go for it. I usually check reviews there. That dress is an amazing bargain!

Where I work we are a pick up point TU clothing . It sells really well and the 25% sale is on so regularly atm and we get boxes of packages then . The 25% will no doubt be on over Easter if you want to save a bit of money on more expensive items.

LemonySnickets · 07/03/2024 11:23

I love their Everbelle stuff. I have a dress similar to that one in the OP but ankle length. Otherwise I find their stuff hit and miss. I can go in there one day and want one of everything, next time I fancy nothing.

Floatinginvacherin · 07/03/2024 11:25

I find I like individual items but often just walking through the aisles a bit uninspiring. A lot of polyster/acrylic when I’d prefer natural fibres. But I guess at least it’s a low price point and not paying a fortune for them like you can with more expensive brands.

Beamur · 07/03/2024 11:26

My teen DD (and quite a lot of her friends) wear Tu. Got some excellent quality t-shirts recently and nice kimono style boxy blouses. Good with jeans or smarter trousers.

idontlikealdi · 07/03/2024 12:11

I've had some real gems from Tu, and have also changed from M&S to their knickers as they actually seem to still have some sort of gusset.

Was also great for kids clothes when they were younger.

TonyHallintheTardis · 07/03/2024 13:03

Agree their pants are excellent. Never thought I'd not buy M&S pants. I bought some of their wide leg jeans for 20 quid this week. I think they were recommended on here. I am not a good shopper though so not good at trawling through the racks.

Funny you should say that about the knickers. Ive bought m&a for years but just tried some Tu ones and went back to get more.

Long been a fan of their leggings, jumpers and the cardigans with pockets were great for work.

I bought one of the skirts you linked too after seeing your thread. I love it!

That's great glad you like it! I actually plan to wear one to our team Away Day in Birmingham next week (I have to travel from London), involves meal out afterwards, but smart enough to look good, easy enough to do a walking tour of Brum in.

One of my favourite pairs of jeans ever is a greyed/black Tu pair with a tie waist (separate tie, same material) - bought before Covid. Very flattering.

Clarinet1 · 07/03/2024 14:19

I think Tu have some very nice stuff. I’ve got a couple of sweatshirts and some shorts. And that dress for £10:50!? It’s a steal!

lipgoss · 07/03/2024 14:35

I just recently got a fab denim dress, and a lovely springy blue and white stripey shirt, which is 100% cotton, for about a 3rd of the price I'd have paid for it elsewhere. Always have a mooch when I'm at my big Sainsbury's!

GrandHighPoohbah · 07/03/2024 14:36

I think you have to be selective, as some of their things are a bit shapeless, but I have found a couple of nice skirts and dresses there, as well as a spring jacket recently.

Deathraystare · 07/03/2024 15:41

I have a stripey cardi from TU. Orangey red and pink stripes. It has had a few compliments. I like that fact that I am wearing it in the cold (ish) weather as most clothing being worn at the moment is rather dull!

gentlesea · 07/03/2024 15:48

Does their stuff wash well? Was eyeing up some PJs...

mrsbyers · 07/03/2024 15:50

Popped in yesterday and got 4 jumper / work tops for under £30 - lots of nice stuff in at the moment which is a distinct turn around from last visit where I left feeling ancient

It does generally, yes.

There's a lot of nice things in at the moment. Some not my taste but there is lots of nice things and they're very good value, even better with discounts/sales.

Great! Had a few high street things shrink in the wash recently.
