Polynucleotide under eye

Dancingqueen90 · 01/03/2024 20:40

Has anyone had polynucleotide under eye treatment for their dark circles?

I'm having polynucleotide treatments next week. Not particularly for my eyes but full face. If no one else has advice I can come back and tell you how it goes.

Carz321 · 14/03/2024 12:57

I have not had this done....yet. I have had a consultation to discuss it I would love to hear how it went too. Was there swelling or pain etc?
I was told it's not a wow factor procedure very gradual.

BlackSwan · 14/03/2024 18:31

I was thinking of having it too…

EllaBella1982 · 14/03/2024 22:17

I have had this done around the eye area - so far had 2 treatments. I am 42 and concerned about lines and circles under eyes and also hooded eyelids. Not sure I’ve seen much in the way of results so far but I hear it takes a while to notice anything… It’s been about 8 weeks since my first treatment. Final treatment due next week (aside from maintenance you are supposed to have every 6 months). Really hoping I will see good results soon as it is very expensive!!
Downtime is about 24 hours, you just have bumps at each injection point which looks very odd but it does calm down by the next day!
Has anyone had significant results from this??

AdvicePleas · 21/04/2024 05:23

Bumping this
to ask for an update on results?

Isabelle70 · 21/04/2024 06:16

I had tear trough filler 14 days ago and the Dr mentioned this treatment.
He said it had been used for the last 20 years in wound and scar healing and it was only the last couple of years it had been used for aesthetics.
I would be interested to hear how others get on.

EllaBella1982 · 21/04/2024 08:36

I can’t say I’ve noticed a significant difference in terms of fine lines disappearing but my under eye area is maybe a bit brighter? Maybe it’s one of those things that will improve over time together with tear trough, RF microneedling etc. Or maybe I just need to accept I’m not 21 anymore 😂

Dancingqueen90 · 21/04/2024 18:55

The reason I asked the original question in the post as I also haven't seen much of a result. Especially for the money spent! Interesting to hear others are commenting about the results.
My 6 months is due in the summer. I am not sure if I will top up as the return isn't that great for the money spent.

Anyone post 6 months seen the benefit?

OP posts:
TimeForBedSaidZebadee · 24/04/2024 20:17

I had full face done. I had two sessions with the second session six weeks ago. I haven't seen any difference. My therapist said I would see results after six weeks so I can but hope.
At the moment it's not something I would do again.

Ooh how was the tear trough filler please @Isabelle70 ?

Isabelle70 · 24/04/2024 22:46

@Peaceandquietandacuppa it stung a bit until the anaesthetic started to work. I had 1ml between the tear troughs. I think about 4 injections in the trough and then a cannula lower down from the cheek area. It was swollen for a couple of days with no bruising.
One side has had a bit of a swollen pad near the nose but this has flattened out now.
I have my check up next week so I will see what the Dr thinks of the results.
I would say I look fresher and not so tired.
I might be able to do a before and after as I use Dermatica and I loaded phots up before I had the filler.

CARLYLONDON · 06/06/2024 11:22

Hi, I am booked in for this in 2 weeks time and was wondering how you all got on with it? Are the results worth the cost? Is the process painful? I would really appreciate some feedback as it isn't cheap and i'll cancel if not worth the outlay.

Isabelle70 · 06/06/2024 19:05

@CARLYLONDON I was quoted 6ml over a period of 3 treatments and it would need repeating each year. The cost would have been approximately £2,000.

NewJobNewMeNewLife · 06/06/2024 21:03

I had under eyes done. I have had three sessions. It hasn’t made any difference to my fine lines or dark circles.
I have also had threads done- also made no difference.

WinterMorn · 06/06/2024 21:10

@Isabelle70 if you can post before and after that would be really helpful

Isabelle70 · 06/06/2024 21:13

@WinterMorn I didn't have it done as it doesn't bother me enough for 2k a year for something that might work.

WinterMorn · 06/06/2024 21:17

Sorry, I thought you had the tear troughs done

Vermin · 06/06/2024 21:17

Yes. One treatment left me with bumps under my eye sockets. The doctor was a bit puzzled the first time I went back (week theee) and positively blade the second time (week five). I went to see another doctor who said the bumps will eventually go down but he wouldn’t recommend further top ips because I’m not going to get enough of a difference for it to be worthwhile. 2nd doc is the one I will go back to if I ever need anything else. (Told a pal at work- she still has a bump in her chin from it , years down the line)

Bananacentral · 06/06/2024 21:37

I have had two sessions done over last 9-10 weeks so my honest view….

i notice a difference in that my fine lines are reduced and I look fresher in that my under eyes look hydrated etc. however you have to be patient as results are immediate so it’s quite hard for them to be noticeable due to the gradual effect.

whilst I’m happy with results, I do feel it’s quite pricey (mine was £170 per session). So I’m still on fence whether to maintain. I also have Botox and a small amount of lip filler so the cost adds up!

for ref I’m mid thirties but very little fat within my face due to being slim so I wanted a more fresh faced less hollow look without filler.

Isabelle70 · 06/06/2024 21:53

@WinterMorn ah I thought you meant the polynucleotides. Yes I did have the tear trough filler and can take a photo in the morning or weekend. I was a little worried at first with the result but after a month I would say it has settled and looks a lot better.

WinterMorn · 06/06/2024 21:56

@Isabelle70 thank you, I am still debating whether to do this or not so I appreciate that 🙂

AdvicePleas · 15/06/2024 13:37

Thanks for the update
I’m due for my second session next week.
it’s been 4/5 weeks since my first because I wanted the same dr to do the second session and she was on annual leave.

I am 42 and don’t sleep well and have genetically more puffy under eye - my eyes also started having more wrinkles due to rubbing. my siblings older than me have better under eye /I am Asian -

what I have noticed after the first session is a slight improvement which is still something I am happy with as it was bringing me down - it under eye area looks fresher, less puffier and slightly less wrinkly. It’s not a difference anyone else will notic- I’m looking forward to see what the second session will do.

Dancingqueen90 · 24/06/2024 21:31

I saw minimal improvement for a few months but tbh i am not seeing it now. I feel for the money spent or hasn't changed much.
I would be interested to hear from people that had tear trough filler if that had a impact on dark circles and for how long?

OP posts:
Carz321 · 25/06/2024 06:54

Thanks for update

Isabelle70 · 25/06/2024 18:27

I have had tear trough filler to plump the area and was told it will not last 6 months or so as it's a thinner filler used in that area.
