I like these but are they too out there? Too chavvy, too whatever?!
I'm 38. Love a stand out shoe.. thoughts?!

Not for me, I also think quite dated, sort of older woman trying to be funky. I think they are a bit tacky. But I wholly admit my taste in shoes runs to the dull.

I just ordered a second pair of these, as in the sale, and love them and wear them to death.

My opinion is- they're not remotely "out there" they're not nice but they're no more ugly than most trainers.

But if you don't know if you want them without the approval on here, it's probaby not a good buy.

i love them but i wouldn't spend that on a pair of trainers.

On the app the photo is cropped just to show the top of the shoe and I absolutely loved the colour way until I clicked on it and saw the print not a fan of animal print

They are not for me as they look a bit 'look how funky and cool I am even at my age!'.

A crisp white ugly trainer is much more 'now' in my opinion but totally appreciate that some would consider that very dull!

I wouldn’t wear them but hardly agree with PP who says wearing them for shopping is a “massive no”. They’re just trainers!
Nike quality has become shite in recent years though so they’re definitely not worth that price.

I am funky and cool though 🤣. All jokes aside, I really don't look my age. I'm mixed race so I have that ever youthful complexion and still get ID. I'm not trying to look younger. But some 38 year olds really look middle aged whereas I just don't.

Love them, I have a previous year similar colour way Air max 1 and wear them all the time and I'm 37 😉

And I wouldn't be seen dead in a 'crisp white trainer' 😂

I really like these. It does depend on your whole look imo, I know 38 yo’s that would wear these & make them look cheap. I also know 38 yo’s that would make them look very stylish. I think it depends on your overall look.

As for if you remove the Nike logo they look like Primark, tes
possibly, but you could say that about a LOT of expensive & high end stuff.

I would buy these. I’d wear with black horseshoe or mom jeans & a plain tee.

Well I thought it was funny 🤷🏻‍♀️ and those style of shoes are very popular with Florida retirees, soz if that triggered you.

But I'm not sure how it's more ageist than "They look very 'woman of a certain age trying to look funky' to me" or "as they look a bit 'look how funky and cool I am even at my age" but those comments didn't seem to bother you... Is it because you have those plain white shoes but don't live in Florida?

Completely agree that it depends what you wear them with. I tend to wear very monochrome clothes. I love my black leather jacket. I have a black denim one too so I think these would rock.

Something wrong with that? Just giving context. It explains why I go for a certain style. I wasn't showing off.

I don't have those shoes, although I think they are considerably nicer than the ugly trainers the OP is looking at.
