I like these but are they too out there? Too chavvy, too whatever?!
I'm 38. Love a stand out shoe.. thoughts?!

I'm very monochrome. So my clothes are generally black, occasionally white or dark green.
I like footwear to pop out a bit!

I hear you. I could definitely go more 'out there' but I don't know what to get.. I need something comfy and so far I haven't found anything...

I know what you mean but for me, at 52, I am an older woman in fashion terms. I'm not pretending to be young and there's no need for me to wear authentically youthful styles.

I still want to wear brands, cool stuff etc. If it looks 'older woman trying to be funky' then so be it really.

I don't really know, it's just a gut reaction. When I picture a woman who would wear them then the image in my mind is my age or older (mid to late fifties) but image-conscious. But I've never been one for animal prints so I'm biased.

I like them, they’re not too out there at all and very in keeping with what millennial age group are wearing.

OP stated she's 38. I don't imagine she expects her footwear to make her twenty years younger.

They are Air max 1s, loads of people in the above age group wears them. Maybe it depends where you live?

I really like them. Very much my style though...Im a big fan of patterned/brightly coloured tennis shoes or baseball boots with cargos or jeans.
Im over 50 and couldnt give a rats arse wether I look dated or fashionable!!LOL

They look like platforms about 1inch higher than they should be, plus I can't stand animal print. Sorry, but they look like £5 worth, not £145!

Fair play. They are definitely not everyone's taste. I absolutely agree that the price is outrageous!

Keep an eye on ASOS. They keep doing them cheaper but get sold out so quickly!!

How is Nike sizing? I'm 6.5 and usually go up to 7 in New Balance.

@funkydosintherain the only opinion that matters is your own. Wear what makes you feel like a queen and gives you confidence.

Personally, I love them. They look fun and comfy. I'm 44 this year and would rock them.
