Just that really, any recommendations for a nice lightweight tinted moisturiser.

Erborian

stayathomer · 23/02/2024 22:20

More of a what not to try if you want light - coverage great but more heavy- clarins, Estée Lauder, Roche posay and Clinique

Boomboomshakeshaketheroom · 23/02/2024 22:22

I discovered Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue after a recommendation on here, and can't recommend it enough. I've had so many compliments on my skin when I wear it. It's glowy, blends well, doesn't sit in lines, doesn't go orange.

Garlicnaan · 23/02/2024 22:25

I've really come around to Erborian simply because you can slap it on in 10 seconds and it looks natural.

The colour can be a bit of an issue though.

JubileeJumps · 23/02/2024 22:26

i came to say Erborian. It’s so good.

minipie · 23/02/2024 22:27

Yes Erborian CC creme (silver tube) if you want very lightweight

NARS tinted moisturiser if you want a little more coverage

Sodie · 23/02/2024 22:29

Lumene invisible illumination is brilliant, more of a serum. But marcelle golden glow illuminator is the best but I have to order this from US, but worth it as it is amazing. I've tried so many expensive and budget options and nothing comes close to it.

snowlady4 · 23/02/2024 22:35

I think the garnier one is hard to beat. Incredible value.. I think it's about £10, will sometimes be on 3 for 2 in superdrug. I always get asked what foundation I'm wearing so it's not the lightest, provides some coverage (I use medium.)

Bookist · 23/02/2024 22:42

Erborian CC Cream. But you need a clear complexion as it's sheer.

Not sure what the difference is between the CC and the BBC creams though?

Merrilydancing · 23/02/2024 22:51

@Bookist nor I but always hear of them!

My complexion isn’t completely clear so will have to rule out Erborian but will start to look at the other recommendations.

Not BB or CC but the Maybelline 4 in 1 glow perfector is amazing!
My skin isn't clear at all but this really does give a lovely healthy glow and sufficient light coverage that a dab of concealer on my worst areas is all that's needed.

WhereAreWeNow · 24/02/2024 07:13

Erborian. They do lots of different formulations. I think it goes like this, from sheerest to heaviest coverage:
Water CC
CC
BB
Super BB

I might be wrong about the order though.

I use the BB and find it gives a nice amount of coverage. I would recommend.

Sufac · 24/02/2024 07:16

Eaze drops I think they’re called by Fenty. Not sure if it’s a BB cream, but very light coverage, loads of shades. Makes my skin look natural but flawless. I just put a few drops on my cheeks with my fingers to even out my skin tone.

CarolynKnappShappeyShipwright · 24/02/2024 07:17

erborian, it’s brilliant. I’ve tried all the range and the best (imo) is the bb. I have to buy nude and dore and mix them so it costs me a fortune (as I have duplicates of everything for home make up cabinet + gym wash bag) but worth it!

GinForBreakfast · 24/02/2024 07:24

I have literally just bought erborian and it's excellent, better than the L'Oreal BB cream I used previously. It's cheaper if you buy it from Amazon.

It's not great if you are pale. It made me look tangoed.
I found my holy grail recently - Laura Mercier. It has SPF30 as well.

suki1964 · 24/02/2024 07:52

Ive been on the hunt for my holy grail as well and Im kind of settled on No 7 serum foundation, I think its the lift and luminate one - they have 3. They give great sized samples in store so worth popping in. And they have a huge colour range

Porfirio · 24/02/2024 08:01

Just add moisturiser to your foundation.

PinkEasterbunny · 24/02/2024 08:04

Boots No 7 City Light, just a hint of colour and coverage

I have this as well, but I prefer the Laura Mercier as the coverage is lighter. I would say the Boots one is more like a light foundation coverage-wise.

borntobequiet · 24/02/2024 08:24

Boots No 7 do a Tinted Skin Veil BB which is very light and which I tolerate well, despite not liking most products on my face.

spiritualawakening · 24/02/2024 09:38

@RampantIvy what shade did you buy? I am pasty pale
Porcelain...

azteccandle · 24/02/2024 09:40

I have a selection of Boots No 7 ones - city light for every day and the BB cream for more coverage. Over the years I have tried loads but these are the only ones that work with my translucently pale skin tone!

1C0 Cameo.

I went to Flannels and asked one of the sales girls in the beauty department to sample a few on my face before I bought it. It wasn't cheap, but it will last me for absolutely ages. The shade is exactly the same on my skin as the Boots no 7 City Light in the light shade, but less foundation-like in texture. I love it.

Has anyone tried the IT Cosmetics CC cream?
