Boden long chunky cardis - why so many left?

Am I missing something - have ordered but realised that there are plenty left in the navy and the turquoise. Why is this when they are really nice colours? Not hotch potchy or anything

Have also ordered a 'sassy' jersey dress and some nice yellow corduroys and a stripey yellow and burgundy cardi as well.

I have been going Boden mad tonite

Half of it will prob go back.

mm.... I'm kind of used to Primark

bramblebooks · 24/03/2008 08:21

omg, you lot are a bad influence - one cardi and a cashmere jumper later ...

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 24/03/2008 08:22

Does the dress have a puffball skirt?

seeker · 24/03/2008 08:23

Just tried to order the cardi, but firelfox crashed just as I was approaching the point of no return. is my browser trying to tell me something?

Fab crinkle cotton dresses for 19 quid too!

Flight · 24/03/2008 08:42

Not sure about the skirt, it seems to have puffball sleeves!!

We haven't got a primark

I go in ts about twice a year and stock up on very cheap sale stuff, you know the £7 reduced from £49 sort of stuff that nobody else wants. That is why my brain is programmed to want yellow things! Tis my destiny!

Ooh seeker I nearly ordered a crinkle dress to before realising my trolley was at £416 and a lot had to go.

Got it down to £132 and it feels like a fortune. Am planning to send some stuff back though...

now in my basket!

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 24/03/2008 08:56

OMG £210.80

Flight · 24/03/2008 08:57

Oh it does have a 'gentle puffball hem' coco

I have spare toggles, nice old ones!

OP posts:
Flight · 24/03/2008 08:59

It mounts up doesn't it...

I removed a lot but still got 5 things I think I will wear (send back one or two maybe) and they were all reduced a lot.

Have discovered the joy of buying things you will wear and not just the cheapest things because they're cheap and they never get worn. Careful filtering of the shopping basket at checkout...

I've finally come round to the idea of 'investment dressing' too, instead of buying armfuls of clothes that I either never wear or that fall apart from say Primark.

I'm getting one of the cardies, I quite fancy looking like Paddington (why I wonder?).

Will have to send some stuff back. Their pyjama trousers are fab, soooo comfy, and with pockets, soooo useful for storing grufty old tissues in .

I would but one of those cardis, as the price is great, but I agree with Lapin, Boden jumpers "pill" like mad.

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 24/03/2008 10:02

Hmm, I got free delivery too, but assumed it was because among all the sale items I put in one packet of full price headbands.

Flight · 24/03/2008 12:36

You still get free delivery with the code, it just doesn't take anything off the sale items...I wasn't going thru MN though as I can never get that link to work!

All my jumpers pill, I hate it so much. I do have a little comb thingy though

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 26/03/2008 20:07

ooh, my parcel's been dispatched. Exciting .

Flight · 27/03/2008 06:27

What did you get in the end, Coco?

I'm ashamed to say I went back... they had long mens socks in pink and I so needed them, well it wasn't worth ordering them alone...

We'll compare when our parcels arrive!

OP posts:
CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 27/03/2008 13:22

Long socks? I love long socks. Can you do me a link.

I got tons and tons of stuff, in two orders, as DH said he wanted some too.

I got a long cardie, crinkle dresses X2 in different colours, headbands (from mini boden but for me), the sandals, er some slim fit cropped trousers and a drapey wrap. I think. Oh, and a couple of skirts for the DDs.

Will HAVE to send a lot back, but have whacked it all on the credit card for now.

Need to find/start some kind of spendaholics thread.

Put pics on your profile of you modelling the clothes, please .

Flight · 27/03/2008 14:23

Here you go Mrs. sock lover

They only have larrrrge which might not be any good, I have big feet

I got a man's pink sweater and two mini skirts, a wool one and a cord one - one of those is also pink
Oh and a grey jumper which I've wanted for ages.

Yes will post beautiful poses on profile, oh what a shame the things haven't arrived yet

OP posts:
CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 27/03/2008 19:47

Perhaps I will do same, and get a straw poll of what I should keep. As much must go back, have ordered socks now too and it's all your fault .

rookiemater · 27/03/2008 22:12

Oh oh I have the same embellished sandals as Cod, I feel honoured. They are nice.

A lot nicer than the hideous layered top that made my blancmange like stomach look even bigger than normal or the striped t shirt that would have been fine if it had cost £4.99 rather than the astronomical £18.50 they were attempting to charge.

Why oh why do I keep ordering things, says rookimater who has just opened Boden site to see if any more mangy winter offerings are vastly reduced.

Flight · 28/03/2008 07:00

I know rookie, I know...

I have a theory it has something to do with having recently ordered from 'Additions' and found that quite apart from the scary, scary courier who delivers the stuff, every single item has gone straight back as it has been utterly gopping. as well as vastly overpriced!

Boden somehow is like a log cabin in the wilderness....at least you know you won't be physically ill when you unwrap the parcel

OP posts:
rookiemater · 28/03/2008 09:13

Oh yes the wrapping is always nice, I do worry about the environmental impact of so much tissue paper though.
