Another trainers thread: white flatform trainers

Looking for fashion all white lightweight trainers ideally with a platform. To wear with dresses and wide leg trousers for work so can’t be too sporty (I’m debating while air force but not sure if “too young” as I’m in my 40s).
Similar in style to these: https://www.johnlewis.com/kin-eren-chunky-sole-flatform-trainers-white/p5115777. I have them and, god, they are heavy 😳 they give my blisters if I wear them for a length of time.
Oh, and I’m size 2.5 so either brand that is small fitting or have EU35.

I have some Nike AF1s. They are really comfy & quite chunky, however I feel they are a bit sporty looking to wear to work personally.
I've just bought some Nike Blazers with a platform. These might fit your brief better. They are a bit neater looking & feel smarter.

Oh I like the look of these - and the price too 😂 are they light? Are they lighter than AF1?
I’m a “Veja mum” and love my v12s (they are so light) but want a change and a “lift” at 5ft1, lol.

MissAtomicBomb1 · 14/02/2024 17:40

Haha! I feel you at 4ft11 BlushGrin
The AF1s are definitely light. Haven't worn my blazers much so far so I'm not sure how they compare. Seem fine in the limited time I've worn them.
Hopefully someone else will be along to comment on them or suggest alternatives Smile

Air and Grace trainers are so comfortable. They don’t pinch at all and have a memory foam sole. Pricier than I might normally spend but are so worth it!

MsDastardley · 14/02/2024 21:14

I’ve got a couple of pairs of Air and Grace flatforms. They are comfortable enough, but I find them very heavy.

Rina66 · 15/02/2024 05:00

I've just bought these from Russell & Bromley, I usually wear the Park Ups or Puffys but these were new in...I love a slip on!

chillycat · 15/02/2024 07:19

I agree with Russell and Bromley - all light and leather so easy to maintain and long lasting. Vinted often has good buys on new/ nearly new. And the sales (although won't be one now for a while)

RandalsAunty · 15/02/2024 08:13

Both Air & Grace and Russel & Bromley start at 3 - are they try to size? I could wear size 3 but trainers would have to be very light - I think that’s part of the issue with my JL ones - they are heavier and wearing size 3 they need to be laced up well else they my feet move inside and they rub badly.

Geox are worth a look - I've walked MILES in mine and they are so comfortable. I get mine "as new" on Vinted as they are pretty £££.

Thistooshallpass. · 15/02/2024 09:37

I've got Nike blazers in white for work - they have abit of a platform for height but because they are all white don't look too sporty . They took abit of breaking in but now really comfy .

nopuppiesallowed · 15/02/2024 09:48

I bought some flatform trainers and proudly showed them to my 14 year old granddaughter. She fell about laughing (then sent photos of them to all the other granddaughters). I returned them. Now I see they're fashionable...🙄

Lanawashington · 15/02/2024 11:05

I have these but in the adult size, the kids ones look identical though. They are the comfiest trainers I own by far

Yes, never take fashion advice from a 14 year old 😊

I’ve got my eye on these OP:

What about these? They add about 2 inches to my height and are really beautiful calf leather and handmade (apparently 🤷‍♀️) had mine about a year and still look like new. Lots of colours available mine are the white with pale pink ankle tab.

For summer but a great deal at the minute £12.99. I’m a standard size 3 but the 36 fits. I found the R&B park ups size 3 to be slightly loose in the shop.

RandalsAunty · 15/02/2024 22:46

WhatHaveIDoneNow · 15/02/2024 09:31

I like them but don’t think insole would work with them being lace-less 😞

I have these. Really comfy and a fairly thick sole. https://www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/rally-leather-trainers-p-X22#194

I would like slightly higher platform but I like the “clean” design/look.

Thank you, sounds like I need 2/2.5 then.
