Please help me find a pair of jeans. I have about 10 but ALL do not fit. After my C-Section my tummy just refuses to budge and I have this around my waist. It is impossible to find a pair of jeans.
I need something soft that's comfortable around my waist BUT it just hangs from my butt down. Brands that I have tried

M&S
Hush
Mint Velvet
H&M
Whistles

All different styles and types and they are just awful. Surely I can't be the only woman who has this pouch and jeans are a problem. Please help as I'm so depressed as I only wear black horrible joggers.

I'm a size 10 around my waist but smaller on my legs.

I'd wear a top over the jeans and not tucked in to hide the pouch.

Ariona · 12/02/2024 15:03

I just tucked it in to show the fit.

Problem is that this pair is digging in my skin. Any size bigger just hangs off me.

Have you tried markies magic sculpture jeans

Ariona · 12/02/2024 15:05

Thanks, I had a look but it seems like it's also very non stretchy to accommodate for my tummy.
Don't know if there is anything like a stretchy front

Wide leg is in. Go up a size and embrace comfy, loose jeans.

TraitorsGate · 12/02/2024 15:07

A stretchy front would be maternity jeans

Cocacolacarrie · 12/02/2024 15:15

I have the same stomach as you after two csections. I also find jeans gape at the waist and are tight on the bum.

Big hold you in knickers are what you need.

Next used to do Lift Slim and Shape Jeans that were good for holding my stomach in. But I've not bought any for a while so don't know if they still do.

All my tops generally cover it anyway, so I just let my stomach stick out in my jeans.

Levis high waisted or M&S magic

thenewaveragebear1983 · 12/02/2024 16:30

How long ago was your c-section?
I’ve had 2 c-s but last one was 8 years ago, definitely still ‘poochy’ there. But it was long enough ago that I can squeeze into a tight high waisted jeans and be ok. If it was recently, I’d probably say embrace the comfort.
i like bershka jeans, they seem to have a better ratio of waist to hips/thighs measurement as I have a narrow waist but bigger thighs/bum. I have to size down though and accept the leg are a bit tight because if my belly isn’t held in I look 6 months pregnant 🤦‍♀️

fuckthemail · 12/02/2024 16:32

Wide leg. Like super dry or fatface

Pannetony · 12/02/2024 16:56

Another vote for Levi’s high waisted range.

CheersToMe · 12/02/2024 17:06

Wide leg cargo from M&S.

The wide leg balances out the tummy -ask me how I know!--

unsync · 12/02/2024 17:13

Can you get a pair that fits up top and then get the legs altered? Most alteration places should be able to take in the side seam from the lower hip (underneath the pocket bag) downwards. It's a fairly quick and straightforward alteration to do, especially on an industrial machine.

Oh I have these too and they are well comfy!!

Mairzydotes · 12/02/2024 17:49

Have you tried a button extender for the ones that fit everywhere apart from your tummy area? I did that it early pregnancy.

Hairydogmummy · 12/02/2024 17:57

Next do shaping jeans that are very high waisted. I would go for a straight/wide leg or baggy style to balance things out and disguise the difference in size between your waist and legs. M and S do a magic one. You're unlikely to get a skinny jeans that will fit like you want. Look for other brands labelled ultra high waist.

Hairydogmummy · 12/02/2024 18:00

Another thing is that Primark currently have baggy elastic waist jeans in their collaboration range with a Spanish model called Paula something. The whole range is lovely quality for the price and bang on trend. I have a pair and they are generous on the waist compared to bum/thighs which might work well for you. Good luck!

smurfmonkey · 12/02/2024 18:05

Another recommendation for Primark jeans, they do a super stretch skinny range. I have the same type of stomach as you, just without the childbirth contributing!!

Primark jeans are lovely and stretchy so they're comfy on the stomach but still have a nice skinny fit on the legs.

Pickledperr · 12/02/2024 18:09

Try Not your daughters jeans. I think John Lewis carry some of them.

Orangestheonlyfruit · 12/02/2024 18:21

I recommend Next Lift Slim and Shape jeans. No gaping at the back.
They do slim, wide, skinny, bootcut and flared in LS &S and leg lengths too.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 12/02/2024 18:25

If you're open to jeans alternatives, try wide leg cords from M&S, super soft and comfy.

Anjelika · 12/02/2024 21:14

I am slim of leg but big around the tummy and have had to all but give up on jeans. If they fit in the waist, they are too baggy on the leg and if they fit on the bum and legs, I can't do them up or they are uncomfortably tight around the waist.

I've recently invested in some wide leg, casual trousers from Next and M&S. They are way more comfortable and it's so nice not having them feel tight around the middle.

I have one pair of wide leg jeans from Gap of all places that fit perfectly but, despite trying on loads of different pairs of jeans over the last few months, I don't think any others are made for us apple shapes.

Ariona · 12/02/2024 21:21

Thanks all for the suggestions. It absolutely depresses me that I don't have a pair of jeans. I also can't believe that I am the only person with this body type and not a pair fits me. I spent an entire day this weekend at Westfields trying on jeans from everywhere and just couldn't find one that fit. Tailoring it would probably cost almost the price of it.
I can't do skinny jeans either, my legs feel like they are being suffocated.

Buy a pair that fit comfortably, then sew the inside of the front pockets to the side of the zip on each side, pulls you in but still comfy. Hard to describe but works wonders, sew the vertical length of pocket that is close to zip
