Please help me find a pair of jeans. I have about 10 but ALL do not fit. After my C-Section my tummy just refuses to budge and I have this around my waist. It is impossible to find a pair of jeans.
I need something soft that's comfortable around my waist BUT it just hangs from my butt down. Brands that I have tried

M&S
Hush
Mint Velvet
H&M
Whistles

All different styles and types and they are just awful. Surely I can't be the only woman who has this pouch and jeans are a problem. Please help as I'm so depressed as I only wear black horrible joggers.

I'm a size 10 around my waist but smaller on my legs.

@Anjelika yes seems we have the same body type. I do have a few pairs of trousers but I'm sick of dressing older than I actually am. I just want to wear a pair of jeans more than anything 😢

Buy a size up and get the waist nipped in?

amberedover1 · 12/02/2024 21:24

Lands end 360 degree stretch jeans

Luckingfovely · 12/02/2024 21:35

I deeply sympathise with you and have exactly the same 2xCS problem - my stomach is at least two sizes bigger than my butt and legs.

Best jeans I've ever found - as pp have said, Next Lift, Slim And Shape are epic.

Cheaper alternative and comfy but don't look as good: M&S leggings only ever with a long top.

And lastly - the Landsend ones look nice. Would never have thought of looking there but I might have to have a peek!

Next jeans are good for larger middles, and I’ve found M&S Siena jeans (straight leg) or Ivy ( bootcut ) are also good for apple shapes.

The pic I've posted are the Sienna ones from M&S and they just don't fit or feel good.

Have you looked at Seraphine Maternity? They do a pair of post natal jeans. Kind of like maternity as in they have a high and wide stretchy waistband, but much more fitted.

@Crossstitching I might try that trick with the pockets next time I am looking to buy jeans. Right now I'm firmly in the wide leg trousers camp but do like a cropped pair of jeans in the summer.

Ariona · 13/02/2024 10:17

@Tiz90 sorry that you experienced the same. I love a pair of jeans and the thought of not wearing them again just depresses me really. Almost everything I have like my top, coat, blouse goes with jeans and just looks really untidy or too formal with alternatives.

Lift Slim and Shape Jeans from NEXT.

Your problem is you are wearing stretchy jeans!!! With an elastic content it stretches WITH your tummy and allows it to pop out the front. With a non stretch denim like a PP linked to, the fabric doesn't stretch and so therefore FLATTENS the front of your tummy and looks way better. People always make the mistake of thinking that stretchy jeans will flatten your tummy, but they don;t they just strech with it!

mizzastar · 13/02/2024 10:38

Similar size to you, now 3 babies, 2 c sections and a recent hysterectomy later and loving jeggings at the moment, nice and supportive and hold the tummy in, also soft, can dress up and down. My favourite real pair of jeans are from Tesco though! Relaxed mom fit xx

I'v got a few pairs of all saints jeans that might work, high waisted and really comfortable. Wouldn't cling to your stomach.

Totally agree with this. You need a proper denim, not the stretchy kind and I agree with the suggestion of Levi high waisted.

The problem is with stiff jeans, I have the worst tummy ache after as if something was holding me in and my stomach was cramped.
Today I finally found a pair in Uniqlo of all places. I will try post a pic tomorrow and you all can let me know what you think.
