This dress for a first date

Late afternoon drinks and food at an indoor street food place. Possibly staying out longer if it goes well 😬

Am trying to veer away from my go to tea dresses/skater dresses.

Am a size 14 hourglass. 5'4. Pale skin and copper hair. I suit jewel tones esp greens/blues. Piercings/slightly alternative style so was going to wear with fishnets and chunky boots (with a heel to boost my height) and a biker jacket. Lots of silver jewellery.

Sound ok?

For me this would be being dressed up, but if your normal style is dressier and you feel comfortable in it, go for it.

It seems like it would totally suit your style. Go for it ( I mean, as long as you feel confident in it ) ☺️☺️

@Chonkadoodle It definitely needs some kind of tights, will try with sheers as well as the fishnets. I don't like opaques.

For a first date in the afternoon I think it's too much. Looks like you're trying too hard.

Looks great, wouldn’t worry about tights unless it’s going to be cold. Boots sound good and a big jacket. Perfect low key dress I think. It’s a bit misleading on the model as they focus on the heels, boobs, hips bum, but on a short size 14, this is perfect and not in your face sexy at all. Well done, hope the date goes well!!

Love the dress but would hang back on the jewellery . Lots of jewellery and fishnets and biker jacket is trying too hard.

I don't agree that it's too much. As @Wictc points out, on my body type and styled with chunky DM style boots and a biker the dress isn't going to look as glam as it does on the model in the pictures.

Will reconsider the fishnets.

The silver jewellery is my many piercings which are staying put!

We're meeting at 3pm and in all likelihood (and based on our chemistry and phone calls so far 🤭) will likely stay out into the evening so it's not a quick lunch and then home thing.

I wouldn’t go for bare legs personally. I don’t think cold blue bare legs work in February. Save that ‘til springtime, but not the blue version.

I'd wear with with flat chunky boots and no tights or plain . It's too much otherwise in my opinion but you do you if that's what makes you happy.
