Could I get away with this for a summer wedding (guest)?

Looking at the green & white option - from a shop called Wild Clouds which I think was a recommendation on a thread here a while back. Jumpsuit

I think the wedding will be quite smart, but I'm very much there as a plus one. It's DP's niece, & while I like her & fiancé very much, she was an adult when we got together, so I don't know them well.

Unhelpfully, I have a very nice summer party wear jumpsuit that would be just the ticket, but it's got a black background, & really not wedding appropriate. I don't go to that many smart dos, so would ideally like to find something that would be wearable as a more everyday option in the future.

As a fallback, I do have a rather dated but definitely wedding-appropriate dress that I could wear, from when I was an age when lots of my friends & relations were getting married. DP really doesn't like it though - I think probably because I (a) rarely wear smart clothes, and (b) almost never wear dresses. Not that he ever objects to my outfits, but since I'm going as his plus one, I'd quite like to wear something which didn't weird him out Grin

Much more ethical to wear something you already have. Either the jump suit or the dress on your latest post.

I do agree @BlackLabradors which is why if I do buy something, I want it to be an item that I'll definitely get lots of wear out of in the future.

@Hecme1 I love Amber Buchart's look, but sadly I'm no-where near that stylish (very sadly!) so had better be a bit more cautious.

Unfortunately Lucy & Yak clothes don't fit me well @LentilFaculties otherwise I agree, they'd be a good shout. I think with those sorts of jumpsuits / boilersuits the fit does need to be absolutely spot on to look good (& not like you're out in your pyjamas Grin ).

Amber Butchart the very cool BBC clothing and textiles historian wore that green clouds jumpsuit to a wedding and looked amazing, she did accessorise it and wear it with little heels. It's good to be different and unconventional if you want to be! And wear what you like is what I think 💗

Amber Butchart always looks amazing. I came round to the jumpsuit being fine as long as it was glammed up.
