Skims - WTF

I finally caved and bought a Skims bodysuit. How the hell am I supposed to get it on?? It looks like it was made for a toddler! I looked at the measurements before I ordered but I can't get both legs in except up to my lower shins (waddled about like a bloody penguin trying to pull it up). Has anyone bought one - if so is there a knack? Picture with a size 5 flip flop for scale.

Social media tells me they stretch an impressive amount but I have no advice on how to get it past your shins 😂

I have seen several people on social media get into these but it does look like hard work, and yes, they all seem like there is no way they would fit into them and then somehow do.

I recall them using both hands inside the legs to stretch it sideways whilst moving it up the leg. Good luck, I am having flashbacks to skin tight jeans that required lying on the floor to get them on, ah the 80s.

Thanks - I'll have another try tomorrow morning. I was expecting them to look really small but presumed they were very stretchy, they don't seem to have much give at all!

No - there's a hole in the crotch for weeing - maybe once you've got it on you're never meant to take it off again! I've got a day off today so will have a concentrated attempt.

oh my goodness I bought the dress/slip version, went with the sizing chart and I couldn't fit ONE THIGH into it. i sweated and became a one time contortionist in attempt to get it on - but gave up and sold it on vinted. I hear they are really good though so i don't know whether to try again in a bigger size or accept free movement 😂 Once it is on it surely can't be comfortable

Well, there's been blood sweat and tears but I finally got the bugger on!! I think you just have to go for it and not worry about it ripping. It feels ok and I'm quite pleased - I've tried a few dresses over it which made me look lumpy before and they fit much much better.

But where does everything go? Either it's going to spill out somewhere or you are compressing internally which can't be good for you. I think I'd rather take a corset.

Can you move about and sit down in it? I always wonder about the actresses at award shows and wonder how they actually manage to sit down in some of the outfits they wear they look far from comfortable

I'm sorry to say that despite your misfortune, this is a very funny thread! I wear a bodysuit thing, but it's more like the bodies of the 80's, so nothing going over the thighs, and I don't wear a bra either, so it's like an all in one. Smooths everything out and isn't too tight. If I'm having a day I don't want to bother with it, I don't, just the odd work/night out when I want to fit into my old clothes!
