Breast reduction surgery - Transform or Turkey, or other?

Hi all, Am looking to get a breast reduction and would like to hear about the experiences of anyone who has had it done. I've been looking into Transform and whilst the prices are 'not too bad', some of the trustpilot reviews of Transform in general are horrendous and are putting me off! A lot of complaints about total lack of aftercare once they have your money! DH has mentioned Turkey, cheaper costs and bit of sun thrown in, but I'd be nervous that the operation would not be successful or would not be as good as if it's done in the UK. I'm based in the East Midlands but would be prepared to travel for the right price and the right surgeon. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had one done, where did you go and how much was it? Did you go to Turkey? I need to move forward with this as I've been umming and ahing for over two years but I can't take these big uncomfortable breasts any longer and need to get them sorted! Thanks in advance!

Look at nordesthetics. I had my tummy tuck there and will be back at some point for boobs - I can’t fault them. They’re in the EU so same high standards of care as UK (higher tbh), shorter plane journey and everyone speaks decent English. Plus the country is beautiful for a city break.

Hi I also want to get a b reduction in turkey but the list of places is overwhelming! I would welcome a referral. Thanks

DON'T GO TO TURKEY!

IDK how many times this needs saying. The place is a disaster! They've got marketing experts selling botched and dangerous procedures with dubiously-qualified "surgeons" and poor hygiene and zero aftercare or accountability, and it doesn't seem to matter how many people come back in a body bag there's always a queue of more people looking to go over there! And the NHS has to pick up the tab and in the worst cases, your relatives have to stump up for repatriation and your funeral.

Just don't do it!

My friend had hers done in London recently - she was also thinking of going abroad and is so glad she didn’t.
Shes been for check ups weekly , had a few issues where she sent the surgeon a photo and was seen in person the following day
All of that would’ve been an expensive nightmare abroad

Agree don't go to Turkey. It doesn't have the same standards or regulations. If something goes wrong - and it does more than you think - you will have absolutely no comeback. Like PP has said, any issues will fall to the NHS to sort for you unless you have additional money to go private. It's just far too risky.

@BuntyCollocks Would you mind sharing what you paid for your tummy tuck, and are you pleased with the results you got there?

I was about £4800 for extended FDL tummy tuck, and I’m delighted with my results. My scar is perfect.

I had breast reduction in uk. Amazing No issues at all. Was 7k. Last year.

A friend had one by same surgeon and had some issues healing. She was still happy in the end but NO WAY would I go to turkey. It's a very big operation. I was under for 3 hours and my friend 5. That's a lot!!!!!

True story coming up : woman ( won’t say how i know her) goes to Turkey for breast enhancement. Wakes up with additional scar on abdomen, questions it, told it had been a drain.
Returns to UK, ill, out of sorts, after about appointment 3 with UK medics mentions had been to Turkey for op.
Anyway, very long story short, turns out she had a kidney removed whilst having her breasts enlarged ( to be fair she was happy with the new breasts but ………)

Multiple women have died after having plastic surgery in Turkey. Do not risk your life.

theduchessofspork · 08/02/2024 22:42

OP 100% of the botched plastic surgery the BAAPS (British assoc of plastic surgeons) had to fix in 2022 was from Turkey.

It’s cheap for a reason. Don’t do it.
