I don't think either looks particularly classy but I prefer the one on the righ as we're coming into spring

SophieHope7 · 23/01/2024 00:33

Love the pink!

EverleighMay · 23/01/2024 00:35

I prefer the one on the right but maybe not for a young person e.g late teens /early 20's

CharlotteMakepeace · 23/01/2024 00:36

Both look like something Thora Hird would have worn.

Neither look classy but the second one is better than the first.

Italiangreyhound · 23/01/2024 00:38

I like the black and white one.

DramaAlpaca · 23/01/2024 00:41

The pink is pretty for spring. I wouldn't wear the other one.

Or her armchair...

Sorry, neither looks at all 'chic' to me.

Neither is classy or chic.

urbanbuddha · 23/01/2024 05:14

I like the pink one.

DobieGrayshark · 23/01/2024 06:09

I’m in my 40s and my daughter is a mid teen and we both think they’re both awful sorry.

WafflesOrIceCream · 23/01/2024 06:47

Thank you so much for your honest opinions.I might go for a simple plain shirt!

I prefer the pink one, and would wear it.

EnjoyTheMushrooms · 23/01/2024 07:42

I think either would look nice enough tucked into slim leg, smart trousers. Black for the first shirt, the same shade of bright or dark pink for the second. Or possibly the same green as the leaves.

guineverehadgreeneyes · 23/01/2024 08:07

I'm afraid I don't like either. I'd prefer a classic striped shirt similar to this in a blue or grey stripe or pinstripe:

ZenNudist · 23/01/2024 08:12

Not classy but I like the pink and white one.

BreatheAndFocus · 23/01/2024 08:16

The one on the right is the nicer of the two, but there are loads more floral tops out there that are far, far nicer.

Viviennemary · 23/01/2024 08:47

They are both pretty dire. I marginally prefer the one on the right. But they are both far from classy.

Stevesellsshells · 23/01/2024 08:56

The pink one is nicer. Wouldn't describe either as classy or chic though - I'm a big fan of a jazzy shirt but if I wanted to look classy I'd wear a plain one.

2ndMrsdeWinter · 23/01/2024 08:59

Neither are timeless nor very versatile, in my opinion. Invest in a good quality white shirt - much more chic.

Luckingfovely · 23/01/2024 09:04

Briefly - neither is classy in the slightest! You did ask...

TheOriginalFrench · 23/01/2024 09:12

Gosh - so many posters with absolutely no interest in making the thread helpful or interesting or entertaining …

Such poor etiquette.

To be fair those are two extremely uninspiring tops!! What can we do with that.

I like the Stories ones linked by a PP a lot but don't like viscose, which is good because it saves me money Halo

NewbieSM · 23/01/2024 09:19

Sorry classy is not the vibe I'm getting from either of them. If you want a floral top I would go for more of a blouse shape, looser to be tucked in to high waisted trousers, maybe a slightly sheer fabric or silk if the budget allows?

Honestly floral is not really my style, if you want chic, stick with neutrals in great fabrics and with a good cut, will last you ages.
