Has anyone tried this? Their advertising is so good but £36 a pot?
Wound be interested to hear any reviews.

It’s ok - I got some last summer and I would say it’s good for a sunny day where you want just a tiny hint of colour- I haven’t used it much lately but probably will again when it gets warmer. There was someone on eBay when I got mine selling smaller tubs they’d decanted for £10 each which is quite a good way to try it out without spending too much!

Allshallbewell2021 · 22/01/2024 09:05

Thank you, good idea!

I use it every day and love it. And have had compliments on my skin/generally how I’m looking since starting. You really don’t need much, start light and add if necessary.

viewsoftheshard · 22/01/2024 12:29

I was sceptical at first but am converted (late 40’s). It does take getting used to as can feel a bit ‘tacky’ but now I use it every day and random people compliment me on how well I look, glowing etc. Not sure how it will go in the summer though.

Thanks! Does their find your colour thing work?

I’d like to know this too. It recommended two colours for me, the lightest one and one that looks orange (Au Naturel and Miami Beach).

viewsoftheshard · 23/01/2024 21:13

I have au natural, flushed and Miami peach. When I first got au natural I was a bit underwhelmed but now I wear it most days. I use flushed/peach for the cheeks. Also went to Liberty to check them out in person. But the colour thing did seem to work as these were the ones recommended. Haven’t worn the peach one too much as it’s more summery. Also looking to get the dusty rose plus one of the bronzers.

Revolution do a dupe which is pretty good. I've got 3 and they've lasted for ages

bryceQ · 24/01/2024 08:59

I've tried it, very average I wouldn't repurchase. It's very subtle on me

SaffyWall · 24/01/2024 09:15

I like it a lot, but it does have a slight tackiness that took a bit of getting used to. I bought some tester pots on Ebay before commiting to a bigger purchase - the seller was called jojosommers and was really helpful.

stcrispinsday · 28/01/2024 22:28

I honestly wouldn’t bother, it’s the biggest waste of money I think I’ve ever had with a make up product. Sticky, smells weird and feels revolting on your skin. It didn’t even look particularly good, just shiny. You’d get the same results using Vaseline. I splashed out on it and was really disappointed. Save your money!

So you just get used to the tackiness?

I believe you are supposed to use only the tiniest amount. It's so sheer (apart from the new colours) that I can't see any tiny unless I use lots and that's not good either.

Ingredients are completely different. It's a dupe only in packaging. One is all natural skin loving ingredients. The other is pimped up Vaseline. All petroleum based

I love it. I've got 2 full size and 4 minis and like them all. My favourite is the mini Pinky Bronze which unfortunately they don't do in the full size.
It's important to 'break' the colour first using fingers or spatula- took me a while to realise that, but I really like it.

missfliss · 02/03/2024 07:38

@Jklm1968 I'm interested - can you message me?

Gatekeeper · 02/03/2024 07:45

I got a small pot from ebay seller someone recommended above and I really like it. I got the dusky rose; smell is lovely, like essential oils. I found the tackiness odd at first but was using too much. Now use only the tiniest amount and blend well. Makes my skin gleam

They’re working on bringing out a full size of the Pinky Bronze I think. They commented on someone’s question on insta.

drumbeats · 02/03/2024 08:02

I have a full sized natural and some minis including 2 of the stronger pigment colours.

I am confused by the original colour like magic hour, tawny etc.

They need to be applied VERY sparingly or you will look like an oil slick. But at that level of application there is no colour payoff. If I've tried applying more to get colour I look and feel greasy.

The newer high pigment ones work for me but how do you get any colour payoff from the original ones without over loading the face with oil ?

Lalavande · 02/03/2024 08:53

I bought a few of the samples from Jklm1968 and really love the formula. It works so well on my 'mature' (50 year old) skin which just drinks it up. I have fair skin with yellow undertones and the shade sunkissed is my favourite. I've just bought a full size tub. I use it on my cheeks and lips, over foundation, and it gives a golden glow. I'm currently using a touch of a bright Lisa Eldridge lipstick over it - on the apples of my cheeks too. I like that extra brightness and the lipstick blends in well. I top it all up a few times a day. I think my skin is in better condition since using the balm, but I imagine it's better suited to thirsty skin than oily skin!

missfliss · 02/03/2024 09:23

Thankyou I will message you - I have fair skin with pinky undertones and redness, so would be interested to know what shade you'd recommend - mainly normal skin with slight oiliness on chin and nose.

Also what kind of brush do you use ?

Charlieiscool · 02/03/2024 10:37

You would save money by using Vaseline. It’s going to give you the same result. Not pleasant. My miracle balm went in the bin. Horrible greasy rip off.

Miracle balm is castor seed oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, argan oil, beeswax and various other oils

Vaseline is petrolatum. Petroleum bi-product.

There couldn't be two products more different

Charlieiscool · 02/03/2024 13:49

You won’t be able to tell them apart. It’s rubbish.

SardineJam · 02/03/2024 14:00

I bought the natural after doing the colour test. So underwhelmed, especially as I have combo skin, definitely look greasy even with a small amount and it doesn't smell pleasant either. Really tricky to wash off too

jamswell · 02/03/2024 14:11

I bought the natural one. It's just a thick grease. No colour to it. Utter rubbish
