MantisAndCrumpet · 13/01/2024 20:28

Please help my feet (and my marriage!) by sharing amaxing bed socks.

I'm seeking a pair that is very comfy, warm and also machine washable... any ideas?

I wear cotton socks with thermal socks over them.
(I sleep alone)
Not stylish or beautiful but warm.

Lottapianos · 13/01/2024 20:31

I enjoy Uniqlo thermal socks, they're great

brawhen · 13/01/2024 20:33

Heat holders. Fantastic.

ollypollymolly · 13/01/2024 20:35

Alpaca ones - there were a present tho. White company cashmere ones are also good but don’t walk in them

I have some amazing ones from toast that go up to my mid thigh ! They are fab. Will check if still available.

Kalevala · 13/01/2024 20:41

Pairs Scotland, the lambswool ones are lovely and warm

AtLeastHalfRelieved · 13/01/2024 20:43

Wool ones. Anything synthetic will just make your feet sweat, and cotton doesn't warm you up like wool. You can get machine washable merino socks.

FayCarew · 13/01/2024 20:49

Thank goodness that's a stock photo. I was feeling inadequate.

IamChipmunk · 13/01/2024 20:51

Also recommend heat holders.
Totes are also good and I have some just cashmere ones.

PinkflowersWhiteBerries · 13/01/2024 20:54

White Company or John Lewis cashmere socks. Lovely

bobby81 · 13/01/2024 21:02

I've just got some from M&S, they're the maximum warmth ones & the best that I've tried yet.

doodleygirl · 13/01/2024 21:04

My podiatrist gave me mohair socks as part of my winter package, game changer. Just google mohair socks

FizzyStream · 13/01/2024 21:10

Seasalt have some amazing ones. I bought three pairs with a birthday voucher and my kids immediately nicked two pairs

PaperDoIIs · 13/01/2024 21:12

I got these for OH for Christmas to wear to work. He works outside in all weathers and he's quite happy with them during this cold spell.

Tried a pair as I was too lazy to go get mine and they were ridiculously cozy , soft and very warm(towards hot).

I'm buying a pack for myself.Grin

JobMatch3000 · 13/01/2024 21:13

Bamboo socks. Soft, warm and comfortable.

borntobequiet · 13/01/2024 21:16

I have some merino/cashmere blend from TKMAXX which are reasonably hard wearing and machine washable. I think they were £12.99 for two pairs. I keep a couple of pairs for bed and a couple of pairs to wear inside boots.

tobee · 14/01/2024 02:47

Got some really lovely cashmere ones from Amazon but they got eaten by bastard moths.

I've just got my 2nd pair of heat holders as my previous pair I tore a hole. They are very good.

embolass · 14/01/2024 04:02

2nd Nordic socks! Best ever, even my trendy sons (sponsered by Nike 😂) realise how warm and cosy they are and will wear them !

OzziePopPop · 14/01/2024 04:08

Cashmere are best but I swear by a hot water bottle. Might even be good for sharing if you stick it in the middle? I also love bamboo socks, I wear them year round as I’m disabled and get extremely cold feet (diabetic neuropathy so I have to be cautious with hot water bottles). Bamboo aren’t amazingly warm but aren’t at all sweaty (which I’d hate!)

So in short, bamboo 9 months of the year in bed and all year round out of bed. Cashmere for true winter in bed!

smokingcarriageonly · 14/01/2024 04:13

Best and warmest socks ever: www.corrymoor.com/product/bedsocks/

I got for Christmas a pair of double fleece socks that go up my calves they are amazing for my always cold and sore arthritic feet and ankles- they are from B&M. Also I received a plug in fleece warmer for feet or shoulders etc from
Amazon that’s amazing too for times when your feet are particularly cold/sore.

LoopyGremlin · 14/01/2024 09:11

I also have the Nordic ones and they are amazing!

MantisAndCrumpet · 15/01/2024 06:43

Thanks all… I’ve been browsing Nordic socks and mohair!

Heat holders are nice and durable and also don't give me sensory issues.
