BB Cream for pale skin

RampantIvy · 13/01/2024 11:15

I am fairly pale skinned and struggle to find BB cream for my skin tone. Yesterday I bought some Garnier BB cream in light, and I look like I have been tangoed.

Why are so many BB creams so dark these days? I want to look natural, not like I have spent 6 weeks in the Bahamas.

Has anyone any recommendations please?

Clarins BB Skin Detox in "00 Fair" works on my very pale complexion.

RampantIvy · 13/01/2024 14:35

Thank you @Sauvblonk.
Anyone else?

Nivea light

FuckingHellAdele · 13/01/2024 14:54

Erborian BB is my holy grail. I'm pale, but with pink undertones.

RampantIvy · 13/01/2024 15:23

Thank you both. I'll have a look at all the options.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42

I swear by it! The first shade is very good for pale skin. It's one of the few products that I repurchase and I've been using it now for several years. The last few purchases have been from Amazon and it is a legit product on there.

Bobby brown goes very light
Or try a Korean brand

BlindurErBóklausMaður · 14/01/2024 17:46

As above, Missha have seriously pale shades. I'm a NC01 in Estée Lauder, a Calico in Boots, and a 13 in Missha.
Erborian BB in Clair is ok for me, just about. (Remember Korean BBs are more like foundations than western BBs, more coverage. Erborian is amazing)

RampantIvy · 14/01/2024 17:49

I googled some reviews of some of the suggestions and the Erborian one sounds too foundation like for me. I don't need good coverage, I just want to look a little brighter. I even find most tinted moisturisers too foundation like in texture.

In fact I really like the texture of the Garnier one, but it is for women who want to look tangoed or women with darker skin than me.

Thank you for all the suggestions though.

Definitely look at NOT Korean ones then.

FirstFallopians · 14/01/2024 18:08

I use IT Cosmetics as I had the same issue with orangey “pale” shades- can get get it from Boots so at least you get your points!

RRBilly · 14/01/2024 18:25

IT cosmetics or Erborian.

saturnspinkhoop · 14/01/2024 19:25

Lily Lolo do a pale BB cream.

lenalove · 15/01/2024 11:48

It cosmetics works for me too and I am very fair with a neutral/olive undertone.

doodlepants · 15/01/2024 11:52

I agree about the Garnier one, I could only
use the palest shade after I'd been in Cuba tanning for two weeks and even then it was quite orange! Shame, because it feels quite nice on.

Following with interest as I've tried and failed with BB creams and am currently barefaced. I used the L'Oréal bb magic one for a while but realised if you scratch your face it goes very dark orange (has beads in it that burst and go darker the more you rub... great for getting a good shade but heaven forbid you touch for face by accident!)

WeRateSquirrels · 15/01/2024 12:40

If you don't like foundation, you won't like the IT Cosmetics one - it's really heavy. I almost loved Erborian CC but it was just a little too dark and orange (and I'm not ultra pale).

Which shade are you please? I am pale and neutral and find most BB/CC creams too orange.

BlindurErBóklausMaður · 15/01/2024 13:50

I'm pale with pink undertones and Erborian Clair is great for me.
Agree with pp about IT Cosmetics if it's the CC (not BB) we're talking. The CC is a full coverage cream. Not used the BB from them.

I use the shade Clair.

Unlike a pp, I don't find it too heavy- I wouldn't use it if I did, because I can't bear that feeling of foundation. Most of the time, I just use a touch across my cheeks and nose, to even things out and tone down my pinkness

WeRateSquirrels · 15/01/2024 15:26

Thanks @FuckingHellAdele . It's the Clair I had in the CC which came out a bit tango. Sounds like the BB version is different.

RampantIvy · 15/01/2024 17:07

Next time I nip to the shopping mall I will have a look at some of these suggestions. Thank you for the recommendations.

Erborian BB Clair and Erborian CC dull corrector fabulous.

LittleMonks11 · 15/01/2024 17:13

If you buy direct you get to pick samples. This led me to the dull corrector. I have never worn foundation as it looks hideous on me. None of them are heavy coverage. You can't see it at all. Put a little blusher over and you're good to go.

My friend recommended it last year and I'm a convert.

I tried the CC on a sample and it is a bit heavier.

The Hydratint Serum by Sculpted by Aimee does some great shades for pale skin and it’s very lightweight.
