I wouldn't. Web site looks dodgy.

TwigTheWonderKid · 12/01/2024 19:22

Horrid. Sorry.

It's awful (sorry)

TwigTheWonderKid · 12/01/2024 19:24

What kind of coat are you wanting?

wineymummy · 12/01/2024 19:25

No unless EastEnders in the 1990s is the look you're going for.

DontPutTheKidsThroughIt · 12/01/2024 19:26

Weird that it’s real leather but fake shearling…

Warm and presentable
Not down as I already have one
Wool mix over 50% but they are either all oversized which looks awful on me or fitted with a belt which makes me look old

I’m waiting on this one from COS but chances are I will return

I actually don't mind it, but I think it would be heavy. I like the COS one as well, glad to see the scarf is detachable since I think it would be a nuisance at times unless it was really cold out.

Be thankful you have multiple coats to keep you warm.

I like it but agree the website looks dodgy, If I'm spending £300 on something I expect there to be more than 1 picture of it.

Doggymummar · 12/01/2024 20:41

Ev n the model looks like cat slater

Pygtrail · 12/01/2024 20:46

Looks like a 1980’s drug dealer coat. Is that the look you are going for?

The dodgy much older creepy guy in my technical college use to wear a similar coat in the 1980’s too.

WhereAreWeNow · 12/01/2024 22:24

I'm really after a wool coat in the sales too @TurquoiseTurtoise but I can't find anything I like. Maybe it's just a bad year for coats!

youveturnedupwelldone · 13/01/2024 07:18

Personally at this point of the winter i'd just give up and wait until next year.....

But of your three:

The shearling one is awful and the website looks well dodge!

The cos pinstripes one I like

The cos black wool one is my favourite.

MissSookieStackhouse · 13/01/2024 08:00

Check out the charity shops in a naice area….so many beautiful coats for around a tenner around our way. I got a really lovely wool coat in excellent condition from a designer which retails at around £500 for £10!

Clarinet1 · 13/01/2024 09:41

I’d go with the idea of leaving it for this year; by this stage a thick coat will probably be too much on about six weeks.
However, if you really want something, I second the idea of trying charity shops in a upmarket area; if you’re in London Notting Hill or Pimlico are good.

Thanks - I feel I need to get prepared for next year already lol I eant to buy something durable and timeless

Gave up on the 1st one
Waiting the pinstripe one to arrive
Will see if I find an XS one of the black coat in store because the S swalled me when I ordered last year and it was such a huge disappintment

At the moment I only have a grey acrylic coat from Phase8 and a navy down from Uniqlo, feeling soooo frumpy😭

Where do you live? I’m in London and never get bargains like this in charity shops…my local one is selling a decent woollen coat for £80!!

Wow
Great find!
I just don’t time for charity shops anymore😢 and I’m in a nice area in London
It takes so much time and luck to find good things that are actually well priced as they are charging almost the same as brand new overhere

I’m in the same position OP, I’m looking for a winter coat or jacket that isn’t a puffer (got one).

I like wool but oversized/unfitted wool coats drown me and the belted/fitted ones look officey to me and don’t work with jeans which is what I live in.

I’m looking at shearling too but I think the nice stuff is very expensive.

minipie · 13/01/2024 09:49

I actually don’t know what style to look for
