Oh no, I think I will blow it all at Dilling! Do you know what the sizing is like for their merino pieces? I'm inbetween two sizes; not sure whether to go up or down. Also, do you think you could wear the tees as outer wear?

I LOVE Dilling and yes you can definitely wear as outerwear, I wear the plain long sleeved tops as normal daywear. It’s like a posh textured t-shirt. They’re designed to be fitted so if between sizes, size up, also wash carefully (i use machine wool wash cycle which is fine, but don’t chuck in a normal wash or they’ll shrink).

I also have a couple of similar merino wool tops from arket and H&M which are lovely too. And another place that has similar is Cambridge Baby, but I haven’t bought any of theirs (just swooned over them - nice colours)

I'm freelance from home, so don't really need any work clothes, which probably explains why I'm so casual and do find it a bit tricky to dress up a bit, i.e. for drinks out, but find it fine to dress up a lot (full length dress).

I'm with you on this - also home-based. Cosy WFH/local errands outfit fine, invite to the Oscars fine - but "smart casual" or dressing for work meetings I'm a bit stumped!

Can anyone recommend where to buy good t-shirts? Not too thin, but comfy and with a nice fit?

Haven't read the whole thread but on this question you absolutely must go to Ivy Tees. They are completely amazing. Super high quality fabric, excellent cut (quite oversized compared to many other retailers' sizing) with generous sleeves and good length. Nice colours. I'm never buying tshirts anywhere else. Also they don't twist in the wash! I've bought expensive tshirts before that still twist after several washes.

I’ve been thinking about this and what I’d get and I reckon I would buy a gorgeous outfit that made me feel amazing:

200 Jeans
500 Jimmy Choos or similar
250 Shirt
400 Jewellery - earrings 100, necklace 200, bracelet 100
650 Coat or glam blazer

Every time I needed to feel chic I’d put it on. The rest of the time it would elevate everything I already had.

Very envious, OP!

@ConciseQueen That sounds very stylish! I'm more of a wellies/converse kind of girl. Jimmy Choos would be completely wasted on me. I have spent quite a bit of time looking at Hunter v Le Chameau wellies though. Loved all the Hunter ones I've ever had, but might be ready to try some new ones.

This is probably why I don't have any clothes to wear on a night out!

Everyone has really been helping me to think about my style and list. I'm thinking about a navy blazer/hacking jacket or possibly a longer coat. I don't like belts or anything fussy, just good tailoring and fairly timeless styles.

I'd love a long dress that I could wear with my ankle lace up leather boots, but that's tricky.
