Should I go & get it done tomorrow?
Anyone had theirs done recently.
I've been toying with getting it done for ages...

Yes! Do it.

Twiggywinkle13 · 05/01/2024 19:35

I love mine! Had it done about 8 months now. Go for it!

wineosaurus4 · 05/01/2024 19:41

Go for it! I've had mine done 7 years now, also decided one rainy day in January I'd just go that day. Love it!

EraOfTheGrey · 05/01/2024 19:45

Only do it if the piercer is using a needle and not a gun.

ButterfliesandMoths · 05/01/2024 19:47

I'm going to get mine done this month. Let us know how you get on.

Dinnaehinksae · 05/01/2024 19:48

Go for it. I've had mine close to 10 years now and still love it.

thedementedelf · 05/01/2024 19:49

How was it getting it pierced those that have had it done?

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 05/01/2024 19:49

I'm also thinking of getting it done

NotmySundaybest · 05/01/2024 19:50

Lots of people seem to be getting it at the moment

Go for it - I love mine! Had it done at the beginning of last year - I'm late 40s and notice people if all ages with them.

Some people get a sudden eye watering sensation when they have it done but I didn't. It's healed brilliantly!

Girlwithapple · 05/01/2024 20:16

I've had mine done a couple of years now and it has healed brilliantly. Literally only a couple of people actually noticed it though!

OhGetFucked · 05/01/2024 20:26

Ooh yay, go for it! I got mine done about 18 months ago and just feel like I look more 'me'.

It hurts like buggery but only for about 3 seconds.

Desden · 05/01/2024 20:33

Had mine done about 20 years ago, it was done with a gun, but never had a problem with it.

NotmySundaybest · 05/01/2024 20:37

I want a really small diamond type stud

Don't go somewhere where they use a gun, i've had that twice and it really feels like you've been punched on the nose - if you're in Essex/Suffolk I can recommend an amazing lovely lady piercer.

itsnothingoriginal · 05/01/2024 20:43

@Girlwithapple same here - apparently my friends thought I'd had one for years!

Beware OP it will lead to more piercings (had upper lobe and conch done since then) 😀

NotmySundaybest · 05/01/2024 20:46

In the past I've had nipple, belly, tongue, lobes , helix.
I'm nervous about nose though! Maybe because it's in my face?

Pollyoramge · 05/01/2024 22:24

Nose hurt less than my tragus and I love it. Healed great too. Do it

StarlightLady · 06/01/2024 08:37

I would love to have both nose and nipples pierced (not on the same day, l hasten to add) BUT my body rejected a naval piercing twice so feel very wary of any more.

Can someone, please explain the difference (during and after) between having it done by needle and having it done with a gun?

barkymcbark · 06/01/2024 08:41

I got my nose pierced in my late 40s and I love it. I have a thinner, more delicate ring than the one I originally had it pierced with.

Make sure you don't fiddle with it though. It's my only piercing that's ever got infected, ended up taking antibiotics which cleared it up straight away .

Did you get it done? If you did how was it? Did it hurt?

HippeePrincess · 06/01/2024 21:12

I loved mine so much I had it done twice a year apart

IwouldntWorry · 06/01/2024 21:31

I’d love to get mine done but scared I look too old now (37)

HippeePrincess · 06/01/2024 21:57

@IwouldntWorry I’m 36 and have 2 nose piercings, who would know if it was new or you’d had it years? Also, stop giving a shit about what others think.

IwouldntWorry · 06/01/2024 22:06

True, and I think they look great on people of all ages, one of my best mates is 40 and has a face full and they suit her. I think i just look particularly haggard!
