Obsessed as I am obsessed with this top.
Cute to describe nearly everything.

"Elevate/elevated" is my personal needs-to-die of the moment.

HNY2024 · 02/01/2024 19:02

Curated, pops of colour, trouser...

Colourways

Fallstar · 02/01/2024 19:08

I agree with 'a trouser', 'a boot' etc. Just use normal plurals FFS!

Also 'a red lip'. Ugh.

Easipeelerie · 02/01/2024 19:08

Calling things from places like Fat Face, pieces. They’re not pieces, they’re clothes.
Tee for T Shirt

DuchessPotato · 02/01/2024 19:09

On trend.

And tabloid fashion speak - shows a bit of side boob / puts on a leggy display… arghhhhhh

The owner of our local boutique assured me that the top I was trying on "makes your eyes pop" 😳

As long as you aren't sipping anything... Grin

I also don't like "a slick of red lipstick"

Thats what I leave on my cup when Im slurping

BethDuttonsTwin · 02/01/2024 19:52

Referring to separate items of clothing as “pieces”. I used to see it a lot on here so started avoiding S&B as couldn’t beat the pretentiousness.

"wearing a handbag" FFS

and" it's got pockets"

The people described as “putting on a leggy display” are often those with legs that aren’t their best feature.

Butter soft leather. I can’t remember ever seeing a fashion journalist use the word “leather” without appending the “butter soft”. So lazy. As bad as the constant references to crisp white shirts on here, but at least S&B posters aren’t being paid to churn out their drivel.

Particularly when you get said shoes home and they need a hammer to break them in.

yeeeesssss!

BUTTER SOFT leather.....

RomainesToBeSeen · 02/01/2024 20:49

Outfits that are going to 'take you' somewhere.

"This dress will take you from the office to a nightclub..."

"A skirt to take you from casual breakfast to partying the night away..."

"Need an outfit to take you from the school run to a garden party?"

Usually also requires a huge bag of accessories, spare shoes and the opportunity to do a full make up and blow dry in the ladies.

Pepperypottery · 02/01/2024 20:58

Anything “teamed with” anything else
makes me shudder

steelseries · 02/01/2024 20:59

"Colour way" and "price point". It's just "colour" and "price" FFS
