Nice or WTF

If you saw someone carrying a bag like any of the below, would you think:

WTF??
Oh that's quite nice/unusual/cool/different
Is she 13?

Or would you be totally indifferent?

I can't make up my mind about them. I am horsey but don't usually dress horsey (y'know like tweed and Barbour jackets etc.)

Completely indifferent. It seems like a nice enough decent quality bag, not weird at all.

And to be clear unless a bag is a truly horrendous, blazened in logos style I'm generally completely indifferent to all handbags, including my own.

The black one just looks like a normal bag IMO. The other one does look a bit like a saddle but ultimately on someone's shoulder again, I think it will just look like a normal brown leather bag.

They make me think of Dior saddle bags and the early 2000s. Judging by my Instagram, they appear to be back in fashion. I wouldn’t wear them myself but there’s nothing wrong with them if you like that sort of thing.

I find the stirrup a bit weird but other than that I don't think I'd notice them.

black one is very normal
And I’d just think its a Dior rip off / “inspired by”

the other one is a bit unusual and would need a certain type of outfit but not remarkable by any means

I couldn't make my mind up about them. I think I prefer the first one but would take the stirrup off cos it just looks a bit weird.

I wouldn't notice but if you're horsey, don't take the stirrup thing off just so you don't stand out. Wear your horsey-ness with pride.

I’d think they were going to great lengths to show everyone that they weren’t from the suburbs. They’d probably also be sporting a felt trilby with a feather, a gilet and Fairfax and Favor, with a lab thrown in the boot of the shiny RR for good measure.

Not sure where that fits in your list of options though!

Why would you take the stirrup off? It would then just look like a slightly strange asymmetric bag.

I would notice the stirrup and immediately launch into horsey convo. I would however do so on the assumption that they were a horsey novice wanting to show off about a recently discovered new hobby. I wouldn't get it myself because I don't like the strap. Tbh if it was on a shoulder I probably wouldn't even notice it!

I'm not at all horsey and without the stirrup I would have missed the point that they were meant to look like saddles.

Both are a bit meh, the one with no stirrup is slightly nicer.
