If you saw someone carrying a bag like any of the below, would you think:

WTF??
Oh that's quite nice/unusual/cool/different
Is she 13?

Or would you be totally indifferent?

I can't make up my mind about them. I am horsey but don't usually dress horsey (y'know like tweed and Barbour jackets etc.)

I would notice the stirrup and immediately launch into horsey convo. I would however do so on the assumption that they were a horsey novice wanting to show off about a recently discovered new hobby. I wouldn't get it myself because I don't like the strap. Tbh if it was on a shoulder I probably wouldn't even notice it!

Ah, that's an interesting take on it. I'm definitely not a novice or wanting to show off but it's good to get that perspective.

p.s. happy to talk horses any time (or hamsters 😂)

They make me think of Dior saddle bags and the early 2000s. Judging by my Instagram, they appear to be back in fashion. I wouldn’t wear them myself but there’s nothing wrong with them if you like that sort of thing.

Same here. Definite Dior vibes, so perhaps I might think that it was a bit of a copy of that?

I would say WTF, but then I would admire you for having such an unusual bag.
I hate the stirrup, but feel it takes the bag to star quality. I am #TeamStirrup ambivalent.
I had to look at the brown one for a long time before realising it was saddle like.
You don’t see those every day.

In person I probably wouldn't notice or give it much thought.

Having looked at the photos I don't like the brown one. Even with the stirrup I only realised the black one was supposed to be a saddle after looking at the brown one.

Most people aren't going to be paying enough attention to notice, especially if it's partly covered by your arm.
